IronWolf are designed for file storage in high-uptime environments that run 24x7, like a server or NAS. An IronWolf would work fine in a desktop PC, but pretty much none of its benefits would be used or be as helpful, it wouldn't boost performance like a FireCuda, and it would cost a bit more too.
