Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can this camera be used with a USB extension cable? And if so, which ones work best?

A: It can, but know that there may be some small quality loss in the image capture quality the longer the extension cable is. You'll need a USB-C to female USB-C cable to make this work. Something like this that B&H Photo sells would work https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1537636-REG/c2g_28656_3_usb_c_to_c.html

Q: 2. Why is it called StreamCam Plus? I couldn’t find anything on Logitech’s website about a Plus version of this product.

A: Hello Brandon, thanks for the question. There is only one version of the Streamcam. This is a new product for logitech with many great features that are targeted towards streamers, such as the ability to mount the camera vertically or horizontally. Thanks again Brandon, i hope that helps.

Q: 3. Does this camera work with Windows Hello?

A: No, this camera does not work with Windows Hello.

Q: 4. Can you plug this into a thunderbolt with an adapter?

A: The StreamCam Plus uses USB-C, also known as Thunderbolt 3, which is on all of the new Macs. You should be able to plug it in directly to the computer.

Q: 5. Can you turn off Auto exposure in the StreamCam software? How?

A: Hello, auto exposure can be turned off using our Logitech Capture software.

Q: 6. Is the cable detachable? Or would I be SoL if the cat eats it.

A: The cable on the Logitech StreamCam Plus (Graphite) is permanently attached and can not me removed.

Q: 7. I'm looking for a webcam for Facebook Live broadcast from a Win10 laptop. Will Facebook recognize this as a native camera or only use it via a steam key? I experiencing way too much lag time using the paired encoder option with the encoder I purchased for use with a HDMI camera input. So I have continued using the laptop's sub-par built in camera. I want the flexibility to be able to reposition the camera, though. Multiple camera options would also be a great plus if Facebook supports the Logitech software as a direct camera input.

A: Hello David, yes, the StreamCam Plus will work with Facebook Live. Just make sure that in your video settings, you have the StreamCam Plus selected as your main camera source. Have a great day.

Q: 8. is there any sort of wide angle or zoom; either mechanical or digital?

A: Yes, use the "Logitech Capture" software, "Streamlabs" and more, for advanced options.

Q: 9. While the specs are listed as 1080 / 60p, I've read that the 60p is only applicable in 720; is that correct or can this unit actually achieve 1080 @ 60fps ?

A: To get Full HD at 60 FPS we recommend the following computer specifications: USB-C 3.1 port 2017 or later 7th gen Intel i5 or better Dedicated graphics card 8GB RAM

Q: 10. Is this Big Sur / Apple Silicon compatible?

A: Hello Doug. The Streamcan Plus itself is compatible with M1 and OS11, but the Logitech Capture software is not (yet).

[Bus Powered] I am a professional speaker and coach and use the microphone to record audio programs and podcasts which I offer to my clients. It does a wonderful job of recording my voice so clearly. I would highly recommend the microphone. Worked easily with my PC.

[2] If you're looking for a good - no, a great USB microphone, look no further! I don't think there's much I can say to sing praise about the Blue Yeti, because everyone knows it's an amazing microphone... But I will say that I'm in no way disappointed. For someone who does voice acting and commentaries like me, it's perfect! I can't say how well it goes with recording instruments or singing, but I doubt those are any less stunning when recorded with this hardware. Highly recommended!

[Yes] I bought this microphone for use with Dragon Dictate 3 for Mac. Microphones for speech recognition can be problematic in terms of sufficient signal quality for dictate accuracy. So far I am very please with the Yeti; dictation accuracy is as good as I have seen with speech recognition in fairly technical documents. I have it set to the cardioid pattern; the ability to set different patterns for different uses is nice, although not applicable to my use. Connection is via USB, and at least on my Mac, it was easy plug and play. The only downside for speech recognition is that you are tethered by the (fairly long, supplied) USB cable, but for my use that again isn't a problem. If you want to walk around while dictating, obviously you will need a wireless option.

[Yes] Plugged and played directly upon contact with my audio workstation. Perfect choise of high quality condenser mic as it is also serves as an audio headphone interface out from my DAW. The mic's signal is routed directly though the stereo headphone connector on the Yeti (0 latency). Care needs to be taken, setting it up if your source is as loud as my singing voice, since I'm not sure the mic's diagfraghm can withstand pressure without introducing Character or distortion.

[2] I did a lot of research and this mic. was the best choice! The sound is really good and clear and it's truly plug-n-play. It's built to last and looks nice too. There's really nothing I can think of to improve, I have no complaints!

[5' / 1.5 m] For the price, and USB connection, this microphone really is amazing. Sound quality is clean sounding and the build is made and feels like a tank. Very diverse in pattern switching along with a headphone jack, what's not to like. If you have a treated room or good enough vocal booth/room to get rid of any noise interference, this can really produce high clean quality signal. I also have an AKG 414, and this yeti can fool alot of people if recorded right.

[2] I own three different Blue mics, the Baby Bottle, 2 Snowballs and now the Yeti. (Oh and the now discontinued Blue Webcam 2.0) The Yeti lives up to the quality I expect from Blue. I've not tried the stereo setting on the mic, but all the others work as I would expect. (I own a total of about 20 mics for my home studio.) The Yeti will serve nicely for voiceovers and other speaking needs. I've used the Snowballs in the past for this, but I'm a mic hound so when there was a sale I bought a Yeti. I have to say I like the frequency response of the Yeti better, at least for my voice. Setup consisted of plugging it in. I like the stand, high quality and stable. The mute button is a bit squishy, but that is a nit. Overall, the mic delivers in spades!

[Auto] Record while I play and then listen to find if anything I need to improve. Very convenient.
