[DJI DL Mount] I purchased the 31mm Dulens lens & don't regret it. I enjoy the color rendition of this lens. It's a sharp lens and it has a dare I say Vintage look lol. Its a small & light weight lens and packs a punch. It doesn't Flare as much as I thought it would - to mitigate some flaring just add a
Matte Box when shooting out doors. I also like alternating from Full frame 31mm to Super 35 and get closer to a 50mm look with this lens. It lives on my Lumix s5iiX camera 70% of the time. It pairs well with the FotodioX Pro Lens mount Adapter Arri PL to L mount cameras. Keep in mind the Aperture ring is a little tight to turn but I would say its a good thing when using this lens - you don't want the aperture ring to turning easily when in use. This lens is definitely worth considering when shopping for your next budget Cinema Lens. Cheers!

[0.175 lb] These lenses have a constant 1.5x squeeze factor, which gives consistent results across the entire focus range and makes for reliable de-squeezing in post. Other affordable Anamorphic lens brands do not have a constant squeeze factor. This lens is clean with minimal chromatic aberration only at the very lowest T-stop. It is incredibly lightweight which is useful in run and gun productions. I cant speak for the PL mount, as those may have a bit more heft to them. Flaring is very gentle on the silver version and slightly more aggressive on the blue and amber versions. You cant go wrong with this lens. See attached example.

[0.175 lb] Conversion with supplied EF mount was not too difficult. Fit is perfect. Love this affordable option for shooting anamorphic. Ordered the Laowa Venus 1.33x front anamorphic adapter to get a 2x squeeze out of it. Because of the availability delay on the adapter I can't report on the two together yet. But at a 1.5x squeeze I'm pretty impressed. Every review on youtube has been pretty spot on so no need to repeat it here.

[DJI DL Mount] The NiSi PL adapter for DJI DL Mount is currently the lightest PL adapter out for the DJI system. This works perfectly on my Ronin 4D system. I'm using it to adapt Cinema and Anamorphic PL lenses. The NiSi Athena adapter works without any calibration needed, just remove the DL mount and install this and you are good to go. You do still need the DJI X9 Counterweight when adapting heavier lenses. Overall very happy as it works perfectly.

[0.175 lb] This is a great lens for the Zenmuse X7 gimbal. Great optics if you're looking for something different for aerial imagery. Sharp, no chromatic aberration I can see from my tests and covers the 35mm sensor well without fringing. This will be great for nature and architectural photography. The only con is that you have to manually control iris and focus but I usually set that anyway before take off.

[DJI DL Mount] First off, there's a review with 1 start saying ( Not for professional use ) - I think that's an irresponsible opinion, without any room for subjectiveness. Since the definition of a professional really is nothing more than someone who is being paid for their work, you can't just say not for professional use, when there are many types of looks in demand by clients looking for exactly what these produce. I'd say these are definitely lenses for professionals in the right situation.


Quick mentiontions (tough body and mounts, strong gears, very controlled flaring, and ultra light).

I am not saying these are the best tools for every job, and I agree that there are some issues regarding the lenses distortion - which are easily noticeable in review videos (evidently the other person didn't study before buying), which for me, has all be quickly addressable in an editor with limited adjustments if I decided to correct it.


However, I have already had a few clients, including my own personal work, where the look and feel these lenses with the distortion they create is preferred, it added a feel to the image, it was the deciding factor to use these for the productions actually (feature films), it added a driving mood that complimented the narrative - so when I say they are a tool, I am simply saying - understand what your tools have to offer, and you will know if they are the right ones for the jobs, and in those cases, these lenses are phenomenal. They are a little too sharp for my typical feel, but I slapped a custom made filter in my matte box, and they have become the perfect look for my film making aesthetic.


Study these lenses on YouTube, understand their strengths and weaknesses, and make sure those strengths align with your objective - if they do, BUY THESE - I love mine.

[DJI DL Mount] I like this piece because it means I can buy a single dome lens and simply add this on when I want to use my wide angle zoom lens.
