A: The Yototta software is not required. You can use the included mLogic LFTS Utility.

A: The RAID hardware only allows for RAID 0 configuration. You do have the option to Erase the contents of the G-RAID partition in disk utility and reformat the drive to be used as a regular drive without any RAID.

A: Hi, the first one you mention has Thunderbolt 1 ports, and is configured as a software RAID.The link to the removable unit, this is a newer product with Thunderbolt 2 ports, utilizes a hardware RAID, and the drives are actually removeable.

Q: 9. can you reformat from raid 0 to raid 1?

A: This G-RAID can not be configured to RAID 1.

Q: 10. How is the performance supposed to be different than the cheaper "Enterprise class" version of the same drive?

A: The SanDisk Professional 22TB G-DRIVE PROJECT Thunderbolt 3 External Hard Drive uses a Thunderbolt 3 host interface, whereas the SanDisk Professional 22TB G-DRIVE Enterprise-Class USB 3.2 Gen 2 External Hard Drive uses standard USB-C.

[Desktop] Is working great in my HP Z820, was able to use 4 SSD in RAID 0 and it is blasing fast! Almost 1GB/s. Plastic feel a bit week but since it sit in place, should not cause any issue. 5

[20 to 80%] We purchased one of these units back in January, 2020 for use in a University audio/video recording setting. I believe we've already transferred over 150TB. There is a lot of relief when you know your master recordings are now backed up on something that lasts longer, is faster, closer and easier to deal with than stumbling and slow 'Cloud solutions' or having to shelve dozens of aging drives! We use YoYotta software with it. So far it has worked really well. The only issues we have had are with a LTO cart or two that had a problem and failed during the transfer process, not after. It is pretty darn fast and easy to hook up using thunderbolt. The Software is also great for adding metadata and sending emails to let you know it is finished once verified checks of the transferred data are complete. Because of 4K, file sizes are soaring ever higher, yet the mLogic LTO 8 is pretty darn fast and so good at 'retrieving' past recordings, I plan on buying one for my own personal use. As always, your mileage may vary. 5

[1000 MB] Our small video agency recently upgraded our LTO drive to LTO-8 and started buying these tapes for our footage and project archives. The significant capacity increase with only marginal increase to cost per tape saves our company a lot of time and money. So far the tapes have been very reliable and performed well during archive and restoring. We will be buying plenty more in the future. 5

[Desktop] I recently built yet another video editing PC. Previously I combined them with an external SAS Raid. This time, I populated 3 of these cages with 2TB SSDs (24 TB total) and used an Areca ARC-1883ix-12, and put them inside the PC case. Doing this saved me 3-4K over my usual raid costs. 5

[2] I've purchased dozens of these and haven't had any issues to date. Works as expected & reliable. I'm using a mLogic mTape LTO-7 drive. The only minor quibble I have is that they don't come with any sort of label/sticker. 5
