[Extended] I've always loved the size of the iPad mini since buying the original in 2012. Over the years I've made due as apps, features, and apple support outpaced my original iPad mini which by default became a nice e-reader. Updating to the 6th generation revealed an amazing tool - everything i needed in a portable device which now integrates seamlessly with my desktop Mac and my iPhone.

[Extended] I've used iphones and macbook pros for years and have had a couple ipads that I always offloaded due to not being able to do as much on the device compared to a phone or laptop. This ipad mini changed the game for me in that aspect; I find myself leaving my laptop and picking up the mini for meetings and commuting. I'll always need my laptop for specific things but for emailing, scheduling, note taking, and browsing, this thing has pretty much replaced my other devices at work.

[2-Year ] iPad mini is great. Performs as expected. Purple color was well worth the $40 discount. Color is not at objectionable.

[2-Year ] I debated with myself for a while. I usually max out my electronic devices when I can in order to have it last as long as possible in between replacements/upgrades, but after really thinking about what I'd be using it for, this size is perfect for me. I'm not a pro user - I have a laptop and desktop for heavy work use. This is primarily used for reading, emailing, drawing up overhead plans for film and photoshoots, and a few other film apps. Also serves as a media machine to check color consistency, as well as an entertainment device that isn't too massive to travel with. Battery life is pretty short would be my only complaint, usually gets low on battery if using all day. Otherwise, if you are in my situation where it's not your main work tool but a supplement for certain tasks, this is the perfect companion in between your phone and computer.

[Extended] Bought this for my sister. It is compact enough to fit in a purse, but large enough to enjoy a movie on. The picture quality is amazing as is the sound. She is very happy with her entertainment machine.
