[Extended] I've always loved the size of the iPad mini since buying the original in 2012. Over the years I've made due as apps, features, and apple support outpaced my original iPad mini which by default became a nice e-reader. Updating to the 6th generation revealed an amazing tool - everything i needed in a portable device which now integrates seamlessly with my desktop Mac and my iPhone. 5

[Extended] I debated with myself for a while. I usually max out my electronic devices when I can in order to have it last as long as possible in between replacements/upgrades, but after really thinking about what I'd be using it for, this size is perfect for me. I'm not a pro user - I have a laptop and desktop for heavy work use. This is primarily used for reading, emailing, drawing up overhead plans for film and photoshoots, and a few other film apps. Also serves as a media machine to check color consistency, as well as an entertainment device that isn't too massive to travel with. Battery life is pretty short would be my only complaint, usually gets low on battery if using all day. Otherwise, if you are in my situation where it's not your main work tool but a supplement for certain tasks, this is the perfect companion in between your phone and computer. 5
