Mobile entertainers and lighting technicians in need of a specialty light will be impressed with the CHAUVET DJ Kinta FX ILS, which combines an RGBW (red, green, blue, white) LED derby effect with green/red laser diodes and a white SMD LED strobe, in a single compact fixture. The Integrated Lighting System (ILS) is a complete lighting ecosystem technology that provides an advanced, coordinated light show across multiple fixture types, allowing any ILS-enabled fixer to be controlled wired or wirelessly.

The effects can be coordinated to create instant light shows with countless razor-sharp multicolor LED beams, eye-catching strobe effects and chases, and hundreds of red and green beams that can both chase and strobe. The fixture provides a wide coverage angle of 118° suitable for blanketing a stage or dance floor. The Kinta FX allows for both standalone and DMX operation. For use without a DMX controller, you can choose between sound-active or automatic modes. The Master/Slave option lets you coordinate multiple fixtures without the need for a controller. The fixture is equipped with a universal, auto-sensing power supply and is compatible with the IRC-6 wireless remote (available separately).

Q: 5. Can this be continuously powered via usb or do you have to run it off the internal battery?

A: Chauvet says to avoid letting the battery go below 10 percent. If the battery is completely depleted and you plug it in the device cannot be turned on right away. Let it charge a few minutes before turning it on. The battery also should not be charged for more than 24 hours. The short answer is yes you can run it while charging via USB but don't have it plugged in continuously all day.

Q: 6. I'm currently using a D-Fi Tx to control a few lamps on stand. Can I use multiple Tx on the same channel to broaden the coverage

A: In a system you will only use one CHAUVET DJ Wireless D-Fi XLR Transmitter. The other fixtures will need CHAUVET DJ Wireless D-Fi XLR Receivers.

Q: 7. Can I have one hub transmit to another hub? I'm looking for an option where I can connect one hub to my lightboard and transmit to a receiver that is connected to one light that is then daisy-chained the conventional way with DMX cables.

A: Being that this unit can be a transmitter or a receiver, you can transmitter from one to the other.

[Strobe] I'm very new to lighting and the ins and outs of the different features so this is my first professional light I have bought. The options for this light are almost limitless. This light fills my entire room with laser effects. The new Yellow color is beautiful and such a great addition. I'm a DJ so I needed more lights to add to the dance floor and this being the start of my collection has already become an essential part! On another note you may want to get a stand to hang the light from for the best performance. I also got the IRC remote for this and it works great as well! Just an overall great light 5

[1 to 20 Hz] Plastic housing, and very simple, but do you need a small strobe for close ups, music videos, etc. Buy this and keep it in a catch-all, and have it ready if ever needed. 5

[1 to 20 Hz] First use was in an auditorium that was larger than it should have handled. Everyone was so impressed by the clean and bright white light. It impressed me enough that I will purchase another on so I can have proper spotlight operations. CB 5

[DMX512] This laser is extremely well constructed and delivers exactly what was annouced. No need for Fog or Haze as it projects patterns against walls. Super sharp. 5

[Special Design] Red...Green...Blue...White...Cyan...Magenta...Amber...Orange...you pick and choose. Fire up DMX and not only do you have a nice color palette, but unlike nearly every derby effect light out there you can actually dim the intensity of each color! Really works well when combined with static lighting to get just enough movement blended into your look. Loving it so far! 5

[LED / 4-Button] I have yet to use these lights on an event, but have done several tests with them to know these are fabulous lights. What we love is that you can countrol each light individually without a controller so theres no need to plug them into each other. Just plug into electricity and go. Also love how Chauvet always puts a electrical outlet on the back of their lights, makes it very convenient. The only place where it would be lacking is when you need a Long Beam throw, but thats where we just use our old par 64 lights. Get the Chauvet Bags too, they will easily hold 5 lights (without a controller), very easy to carry. 5
