Sleek and stylish with black body and blue accents, ZEISS 10x25 Terra TL Compact Binoculars Night Blue Blackgive you a competent and compact optic that fits easily in the palm of your hand and looks good while they are there. A combination of technologies works together to produce bright and clear images with increased contrast and true color rendition. They include Schmidt-Pechan roof prisms, SCHOTT extra-low dispersion (ED) glass, and anti-reflection fully multicoated optics. The Terra ED is offered here in a 10x power, which walks the delicate line between an increased viewing distance over lower magnification optics while maintaining a useful field of view.

Optimized for travel, the Terra TL comes with a drawstring case for easy packability and a slim neck strap. The lightweight housing is nitrogen filled and O-ring sealed, enabling them to withstand use in wet and snowy weather, and the rubberized armor offers protection from impacts while providing a slip-resistant grip. The Terra's double-hinge closed-bridge design allows them to fold compactly for an easy fit in most pockets or packs, while the knurled center focus wheel enables fast focusing. Twist-up eyecups make them comfortable to use with or without eyewear.

This open-box item comes with the manufacturer's limited lifetime warranty.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Do generic lens covers exist that fit the Zeiss 8x25 binoculars? I understand that this question was raised earlier, but perhaps a secondary market has cropped up in the meantime.

A: B&H carries slip on caps by Kaiser. The slip on size goes by millimeters of the dement ions of the outside barrel of the binoculars. The caps slip over the outside barrel.

Q: 2. You list the close-focus distance as 39.9 feet, but it looks like on the Zeiss website for this model that the close is 6.23 feet. Which is it, please? Thanks.

A: The Minimum Focus Distance would be 5.7' / 1.74 m

Q: 3. what is "open box"?

A: It could have been a return. I could have been used in the store durining a Leica Day demonstration.

Q: 4. Are these really made in Germany? Not Japan, or China?

A: The country of origin for the Binoculars is the country of China

Q: 5. Does this come with a case?

A: Yes this binocular comes with a case.

Q: 6. What is the country of origin for the 8x32 Terra HD as of October 2016?

A: My 3-07-17 purchase - Binoculars stamped with Japan !

Q: 7. Is it made in Japan or China

A: The country of origin for the Binoculars is the country of China

Q: 8. ARE THERE ANY RECOMMENDED FITTED OR COMPACT CASES FOR THESE BINOCULARS? THE SITE LISTS ONLY BACKPACKS

A: The ZEISS 10x25 Terra TL Compact Binocularscome with a case that fits them very well.

Q: 9. How does the Terra TL differ from the Terra ED?

A: The specifications are identical. The ZEISS 10x25 Terra TL Compact Binoculars (Night Blue/Black, Open Box) are just a newer model.

Q: 10. How does this compare to the Nikon Travelite 12x25 which is much less expensive?

A: TerraThe 10x25 Terra are much better and seem to be clearer mostly because 12x25 is to much magnification for that small of a binocular and are hard to hold steady. And dont gather enough light. The 8x25 Terra ED compact are even better. They gather more light and are much easier to hold steady resulting in a much clearer brighter crisper image. For all around use hikeing, boating, ballgames,Bird watching. In a compact binocular the Zeiss 8x25 Terra Ed compact are the best I have used.

[2.5 mm] I'm giving 5 stars based on the Zeiss 10x25 Terra TL's balance of the inherent trade-offs encountered with compact binoculars and the fact that I was able to buy them at Open Box pricing. I am an avid birder and the sad fact is that bigger models with superior optics with their wider, sharper views, improved shadow detail, and longer eye relief do provide noticeably superior viewing experiences and a greater number of positive bird identifications. The problem with such binoculars are the cost, size, and weight. These Zeiss Terra TL's mitigate those issues nicely, with sharp viewing through a physically robust but lightweight piece of kit at the kind of price that typically means an inferior viewing experience. They can never fully replace larger high quality models but are welcome companions when light weight in a compact package is called for. Overall sharpness is fine, handling good, eye relief and field width are adequate, focus easily, with a quality feel and Japanese manufacture.

[25 mm] I purchased these as part of B&H Deal Zone limited time deal. I had not prioritized buying binoculars but knew I needed a pair for scoping out drone and camera shoots. I’m very happy with the Zeiss Terra TL. Very powerful zoom, crystal clear, sharp, in a compact size. They look great too!

[2.5 mm] I loved my Nikon Monarch 10x42 so I bought the 10x25 version for air travel. But I lost them during a bag search in London, so these Zeiss binoculars replaced those.

I could have gotten another Nikon 10x25 for less money, and I KNOW I would have been happy with them, but this Zeiss glass is so bright and clear that I'm super happy I shelled out the extra cash for the upgrade.

Quality binoculars is probably one of those things one shouldn't cheap-out on, since it's potentially a life-long investment. In fact, when I buy a large pair, (and I plan to), I will look at Zeiss first.

[Center] also it feels solid in hand. I've been looing for a quality optic pocket binoculars; very happy to have this one by Zeiss. Only wish it come with a protective case, like made of Neoprene, rather than a thin fabric pouch.

[Schmidt-Pechan] As you can see in the photo the Zeiss Terra 10x25 ED are tiny next to a medium sized pair of Minox BL 10x44…. But in daylight they are every bit as sharp and clear as the Minox!!!
They’re super comfortable, plenty of eye relief and extremely lightweight!!! Yeah they struggle in low light situations but the only cure for that is larger glass!!
They do a phenomenal job with long distances too with very little atmospheric distortion…
Without knowing much about them I took a risk, not really because I paid less than $200 for these on B&H’s used dept!!!!
I absolutely love luv these and stick them in my pocket on almost every morning walk I take with the dogs!!!
We typically cover 2-4 miles of trail and we often see birds of prey hunting and or eating a kill so I am able to catch nature in all its glorious splendor without any stress or fuss because these are so easy to carry!!
I’m looking at the Terra 10x30 and 10x40 too because they’re also so small, tough, water/shock proof…
I still love my Minox BL’s but they can stay looking beautiful inside on the window sill…
Phenomenal bino’s in a wonderfully tiny little package!!

[Schmidt-Pechan] Light weight, great image brightness, everything you expect from Zeiss. Compact enough to slip in your pocket although I upgraded the neck strap as the one included was a bit narrow to wear for extended periods.

[Center] These binoculars surpassed my expectations in every way. The optics are vibrant and clear, the binoculars are well made, non-nonsense, and portable. We've since bought another pair (not on sale) for a wedding couple.

[25 mm] This was purchased as open box item. I was a little concerned about the condition of the binoculars, but it turned out to be a nonissue.
Shipping to NJ was very fast and I got them next day. Everything about them was in perfect condition, both aesthetically and the quality of the image.

I compared them to Steiners and Nikons, I also have. Both are larged (35 and 42 objectives) and was impressed at the image quality. It is very sharp over whole viewing area, center and corners. An this is while the physical dimensions of these are tiny in comparison with others. As expected, the brightness is a little better with the large objective but neither 35 nor 42 will fit into your pocket while this binoculars are so compact and light I can carry them all day long with me. The pouch also helps to keep them compact unlike a hard case which is not pocketable.
Overall I am very happy about these both the quality and the price are exceptional.

[10x] I’ve loved the Zeiss 8x25 Terra binoculars and didn’t think the 10s would be bright enough, but these are awesome! These are better than most full size binoculars. Well worth the expense!
