A: Yes, the SmartRig+ does provide a 1/4"-20 threaded mounting point on the bottom to attach to a tripod, mic stand, camera, or other device.

Q: 2. Does the headphone out need a cell phone app or does it work without a cell phone?

A: Per Saramonic's manual, the output on this is for audio from the phone only. Most audio recording apps support monitoring, but many video recording apps do not. http://www.saramonic.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/03/SmartRig-user-manual.pdf For video, I would recommend considering filmic pro.

Q: 3. I am planning to stream church service on Facebook using iPad. How do I connect it to the out of the church mixer?

A: Use a line out and run into the input of the unit. Be sure to moderate the signal (don't make it too hot from the mixer). We run a similar setup into a cheaper audio amp with power (neewer super compact ~ $20.00) and it works well. We want something with Plugin power vs battery for normal services. Looking at this unit for mobile church events.

Q: 4. will this let me connect stereo mini headphones to optical audio output. If not, which device will let me do that?

A: The Sescom SES-DAC1 Audio Converter has TOSLink Optical S/PDIF input and RCA coaxial S/PDIF input with analog stereo RCA output. As is, you can't connect headphones, but it should work if you use a dual RCA male to 3.5mm TRS female Y-adapter like the Hosa Technology Stereo Mini (3.5mm) Female to 2 RCA Male Y-Cable (B&H # HOYCSMF2RM).

Q: 5. Can phantom power pass through these?

A: This is designed as a volume control for line level devices. Sescom does not recommend this for use as a microphone level control, and it does not pass phantom power.

A: The Saramonic SmartRig+ can be used with GarageBand or any recording app that is compatible with your iPhone. The SmartRig+ is simply an audio interface that provides a way to connect an instrument or microphone with your iPhone.

[0.94 lb] Works well over 265m distance transmitting audio/video in HD for international photography events. Have used this successfully for 2 years for Paraty em Foco Festival with no complaints from the hundreds of pro photographers who attend. 5

[0.94 lb] The extender is reaching a monitor at 75 ft., without issue. Installation was easy including adjustments to the video quality via the two tuning screws on the receiver unit. Audio also works as advertised using 1/8 jack. I am using this unit to replace a similar extender which was damaged by a line spike. Yes, I also installed surge protection! 5

[Cat 5/5e/6/7] I used in to run a signal from my matrix switcher to a TV 80ft away. I worked perfectly. No signal loss, and plug and play setup. The only thing I wish for was mounting capabilities on the receiver end, but that's neither here nor there. 5

[0.94 lb] Although I only am sending about 100 feet, it worked as good as the Extron units that I have used in other installs. The price point makes this a go to for me even for shorter runs (75-100 feet) that could be handled by a quality VGA cable and the longer runs too. 5

[Cat 5/5e/6/7] Last minute idea from my client to do video and we needed to run the video feed 500'. Went on-line to, where else, B&H and less than 20 hours later I had it in my hand and we were starting the event. The unit worked flawlessly, we actually sent video down 700' without any problems. Great addition to any workbox and the salesperson at B&H was awesome as usual! 5
