Decode, stream, and record up to 4K video with the Teradek Prism Flex 875 4K HEVC/H.264 Decoderfrom Teradek. The Prism Flex allows you to input up to 4K video via Gigabit Ethernet or Wi-Fi and output video via HDMI or 12G-SDI to displays, recorders, or switchers. The Ethernet and Wi-Fi connections allow for live monitoring on a LAN and to receive streams from the Internet or from a remote destination over a cellular network. It supports encoding high-quality, low bandwidth HEVC/H.265 and H.264 codecs as well as up to 4:2:2 10-bit HDR video.

The Prism Flex also supports cellular bonding, so you can ensure a strong transmission by bonding both connections. You can also utilize the integrated SD card slot for recording your stream, or you can upload automatically to the cloud. The unit can be managed and monitored using the Prism App for iOS and Android to control resolution, bitrate, and bonding settings.

[3.055 lb] The Canon XF Plugin 3.4.1 for Avid Media Access [macOS] was released last week and after installing, I’ve been using AVID Media Composer to AMA link to the HEVC .265 UHD files from the XF705 and transcoding them to DNxHR HQX successfully. I’m not a tech analyst, but everything finally looks good to me. I’m just starting to use the camera, but the combination of the color and the above average lens, makes this camcorder a step above the others. 5

[HDMI/SDI] This has everything I wanted in a pick up and shoot, quality camera. The image stabilization when zoomed all the way in is great. The autofocus is excellent. Being able to record in Log is great too. 5

[3.055 lb] There's so many protocols to work with in this little box, and decodes practically anything thrown at it. It's not an entry level unit but it's very very good and VITEC keeps improving it 5

[HDMI/SDI] I purchased to provide the ability to watch our church service in the nursery in a separate building live. This product with the encoder was perfect. It was easy to setup \ configure. It just works and the quality of the Picture is great. We were using a different encoder and decoder which was hard to setup and configure and consistently lost the connections on out network. So we are glad to find this. 5

[HDMI/SDI] Bought this and its matching tx. They seem pretty good. You can select different definitions, FHD, HD, SD, and then can assign them to the 3 types, and allocate bit rates for each. Eg you can select HD, send that to SD and a bit rate of 800 and FHD to HD and a bit rate of 2000 etc. It then selects the resolution type, eg 720P. The only limitation I find a bit strange is that the full range of resolutions, are not available all the time. They vary what is available depending on the Hz, 50Hz or 60Hz of the incoming HDMI. I am using 60Hz, and this does not have 1080i, but if I was using 50Hz, then 1080i would be included. 60Hz has 480i, 480P, 720P, 1080P. 50Hz has 576i, 576P, 720P, 1080P, 1080i. The other strange thing I notice is that if I select a bit rate of 800Kbps, and then monitor the link at the IP level, it seems to be using about 3.5Mbps. However, for quality and ease of use, these seem to be great devices. 5

[HDMI/SDI] The Osprey is quite versatile and reliable. We have purchased dozens of the G1 & G2 encoders for use throughout numerous facilities in our extensive network. Our primary use is for multicasting, but we also do a number of unicasts and YouTube streams. Osprey tech support is so helpful and knowledgeable, which is another huge selling point. We have used numerous other manufacturers products (HaiVision, Evertz, Ensemble Design, and Lynx). All of them work fine but Osprey offered the best quality and reliability for the price. 5

[3.055 lb] I purchased this camera knowing that Adobe Premiere Pro would not import H.265, but I thought that Adobe would soon fix that problem. Sadly that is not the case as of this review in March of 2019. I have been using my Atomos recorder as a work around. 5
