[512 GB] I had one for my old MacBook Pro intel, which I had sold going back to MacBook's instantly picked up again. NOTE - this is a MEMORY CARD. You are NOT going to see HARDDRIVE SPPEDS. This is great for expanding general storage for documents, music, videos, etc. NOT to edit photos, video etc off of. That being said, it's awesome for what it does. In addition it takes your documents OFF of your HHD associated with your OS. If your computer has issues, fails, drops, switch it out - NO time spent backing up, transferring etc cause all your files are ALREADY on a device you can simple plug into any other computer (speaking of which - I suggest formatting your memory card in EX-FAT so it can be read on both WIN/PC vs Mac's format which is MAC only).

[0.06 lb] I previously had a 256Gb drive in my old MacBook Air. The 64Gb Transcend helped tremendously with the overload.

Now I have a MBP 2021 with a 512Gb drive. Good, right? More memory more better. Right? Eh, not so fast. I knew I still needed a sidecar with this drive even though I have over 160Gb available.

So I upped the ante with this 128 Gb Transcend, and I cannot believe how quickly I'm eating up space on it! But it's stuff I don't need everyday on my HD, so it's perfect for archiving but keeping close at hand.

I'll pare it down one day, but today is not that day!

[0.06 lb] Perfect addition to the MacBook I use it to store seldom used but necessary files. Slower than a SSD but convenient and hassle free. The MacBook sees it as a regular HD, No problem sleeping or waking from sleep.

[1] It's a cheap way of getting extra space for your macbook pro. I just leave it in the card slot in my mac all the time and it works just fine.

[512 GB] Purchased the 1TB model for my 2021 MacBook Pro M1 Max. Fits perfectly. stays connected when computer sleeps, available when re-starting. Using this for Time Machine backups and it works flawlessly.

[0.06 lb] I'm using this on a 2021 M1 MacBook Pro to store my music library and a bunch of feature length videos, to free up space on the built-in drive. Music and videos (1080P) play fine, with no stuttering or gaps. It stays connected through sleep/wake cycles. It seats well and it seems impossible to accidentally disturb it. Blackmagic speed tests show 70MB/s write speed and 90 MB/s read speed, so you wouldn't want to use this for something like a Photoshop scratch disk, but for less demanding always onboard storage, it's a great solution.

[1] This is a fantastic, easy way to add storage to the new Apple laptop machines which are, unfortunately, limited on storage. I even set mine up to automatically mount the volume on startup. Super easy. This is a great way to add capacity for music, movies, pictures, etc. Stop thinking about it. Just buy it.

[512 GB] Great addition to my Macbook Pro. Adds 256GB at a much lower cost than the 512GB option when purchasing the laptop.
