[18 W] The Impact TL-SA Umbrella Tilt Adapter is entirely made of metal and it's got some weight, which to me is always good. It features a removable Steel Baby Pin with an anti-rotate design on the TL-SA's base, which means, whatever you mount on the baby pin, for example, your light panel, it will not rotate, which is a common thing every time I mount something on a boom or a C Stand, things tend to rotate by the end pole's thread which is super annoying due to gravity.

Having a L Rachet knob to adjust the tilt is a plus too, being much better than a thumb knob, plus it has locking teeth, so when you mount something heavier, it will stay set where you leave it.
I'm using this device with a Lowel TOTA LED XL light panel.

The umbrella hole, insert the umbrella from the front. The back has a metal tab inside to secure the umbrella from sliding out. No tightening screw needed. Also, place the umbrella far enough so the entire umbrella surface is cover by your light's beam.

[Proprietary] I had a similar unit from American DJ, but I thought I would try this unit this time around. The unit is well build, has additional features with the charger ports and front power strip. Its quality constructed and solid enough for a good industrial rack install. The blue lighting doesn't scream at me with a color that is easier on the eyes. It even has a circuit breaker overload switch. It was an easy choice.

these lights are perfect for what we need to do! Lightweight, portable and the correct amount of luminescence through the white sheer curtains we use.

[20 VDC] This is a great power solution for the Canon C70. It allows you to power the camera and and accessories without adding the bulk needed to rig gold/vmount batteries. A lot of the battery does stick out of the camera but it is still a much more compact solution than an external battery source. My only complaint is that the charger is just a rebadged generic bpa charger that charges slowly and gets HOT. It can take over 8 hours to fully charge 2 empty batteries. This is not a huge issue for me though because I can easily get through a day of shooting with 2-3 of these.

[1.085 lb] This Impact tilt umbrella adapter feels like one solid piece of aluminum. It's very sturdy and firm. All of the lights and umbrellas I used on it stayed on nice and tight. As an added bonus the tilt arm is long and metal as opposed to other similar devices that have a smaller plastic knobs and tend to break or don't always stand the test of time. In my hands this adaptor certainly feels like it cost way more than it's being retailed at.

[18 W] This a great adapter. It is very strong and well built. The build quality is top notch, and it is made of heavy-duty aluminum. The tilt adapter locking mechanism has teeth to prevent slipping which help to make it very secure when locked down. The baby pin also screws in and has a rectangle shaped bottom which eliminates any chance of it rotating, this adds to the stability which is great. I mounted my Lowel TOTA LED XL light with an umbrella and it held it with ease at multiple tilt angles. I also mounted one of my COB lights on this adapter too and it worked great. I use this set-up often because I love the brightness of a COB light but like to soften the look. Using an umbrella, and this adapter is very convenient and a very fast to set-up, providing me the soft light I desire. The tilt lock handle is well made, and I love that it ratchets. This makes it easy to tighten down the tilt even in awkward places or positions. Another nice feature is the ability to mount it vertically or horizontally. This adds to its versatility.
