The SilverFast Archive Suite 9 for Epson V700 Photo Scannerpresents a unique solution for fast and easy archiving of slides, negatives and reflective originals. With the SilverFast Archive Suite you get a bundle of two programs: SilverFast Ai Studio and SilverFast HDR Studio. A: The scanner works fine with Windows 10, however, I use Corel PaintShop Pro v9.

A: Epson does offer drivers for Windows 10 for compatibility with the V600.

Q: 3. Does this work on a Mac Computer using macOS Monterey 13.3?

A: Yes, Silverfast SE9 lists Mac OS 10.13 as the minimum OS needed to work on a Mac.

Q: 4. Is this scanner Linux friendly? Running Fedora 27.

A: I would say yes after reading Kevin's post. However you link it up, the printer is a good tool.

Q: 5. Can I turn off all color adjustments? I want to use this for instead of a spectrophotometer to calibrate PiezoDN for creation of digital negatives

A: There are 4 modes available on the scanner: Full Auto, Home, Office, Professional. I am a Home User, so I don't understand your need, but if there is something I can print for you from the User's Manual, then please ask another question and I will try my best to help you. The following is cut/paste from the User's Manual Configuration Dialog Box Color Menu.No Color CorrectionAllows you to scan images without adjusting the quality of the image at all. Select this setting for best results when making your own color profile using a color calibration device.

Q: 6. how long does it take to scan 35mm black and white negatives at 16 bit grayscale and 2400 dpi?

A: Although Epson does not publish the scan time for a 35mm negative at 16 bit grayscale and 2400 DPI, they do mention that the data transfer from the USB connection is capable of 480Mbits per second at Hi-Speed Mode.

Q: 7. I'm trying to decide between the Canon Canoscan LIDE and the Epsom. Anyone have any experience with the Canon? After years of use, my Canon scanner is breaking and I'm so sorry to see it go. I especially loved the slim size. No bulky lid like the Epsom. Is the Epsom that good? (I scan a lot of historic b&w and color prints, all sizes) Thank you!!

A: Epson does a very good job , you can also scan film with V600

Q: 8. Will it scan APS film negatives if they are removed from the cannister?

A: This scanner can scan APS film, but would not have a dedicated holder for it.

Q: 9. speed of scan?

A: It takes about 2 minutes to scan an 8x10 print.

Q: 10. is adobe elements included?

A: This scanner does not come with Adobe Elements.

[Download] I have over a thousand slides from the 70s and 80s that I wanted to bring into this generation. The V600 has done an excellent job of providing the key technical piece of that equation. It warms up fast and gives me ample choices. Because I chose very high resolution images it takes about 10 minutes per set of 4 slides. My only annoyance is that one setting (not to trim) defaults to a place I would like to change. I have not figured out how to change that. 5

[Download] This is my first purchase of a scanner specifically for photos and I wanted to get one that would also do 35mm slides. I researched scanners online and decided on this one and I'm glad I did. It does an excellent job of scanning multiple photos at one time and up to 4 slides at one time. The quality is outstanding and I love the software that comes with it. 5

[Download] Silverfast, when paired with Epson perfection scanners, is the right tool for a great job. I am working with hundreds of negatives that are nearly a century old yet Silverfast SE has the ability to make (and correct) excellent prints from each neg. Silverfast has a software that fits your scanner. 5

[Download] If you used the Epson Software, you are getting something you are familiar with. Probably if you used ANY software.... Except,, it's RIDICULOUSLY higher end. Kinda like a Yugo and a Ferrari... the Yugo is fine,, does what you need. Same result,, you get where you are going. BUT, if you want to REALLY enjoy the ride..... This program PERFORMS at a much higher level. Pictures, slides, negatives,, all selectable from the menu system. Tell it what you have,, pick an output size and quality, then let Silver Fast do the work. 5

[Download] I was familiar with Epson flatbed scanners from using them at the newspaper I work at, so I kind of knew what to expect. This is a newer version than any we have at work, though, and it is better than what I've used before. I've used it thus far to scan a couple hundred old family photos for a digital projected image show at the funeral of a close relative. Everyone was in awe of the great, sharp, and colorful images of 50-year-old photos. I use it with a MacBook Pro equipped with Photoshop. Also have scanned dozens Kodachrome slides. It did a great job. Use of the slide holder made the effort easy. I anticipate using it in this capacity hundreds of more times as I develop digital projection shows for groups in my hobby from among the thousands of slides I have taken in the past 22 years. 5

[Download] The overall scanner is Excellent. It's fast and the quality is great. The only warning I would give is to not rely on the image correction software to color correct or fix all scratches. The software is limited and you can do better in photoshop. The color correct software can overcompensate some pictures and the scratch removal will not eliminate all scratches. As long as you realize that your OK. I do 2 scans, one with color correct and one without, I pick the best scan and bring it into Photoshop to finalize. 5
