Able to withstand multiple deployments, the 1250' 2-Channel ST Single-Mode Fiber Tactical Snake Cable from Camplex is a rugged yet lightweight fiber optic cable designed for field productions, including outside broadcasts, industrial, mining, rental house use, and more. This highly flexible, tight-buffered tactical cable is constructed with a thick layer of Aramid fibers for crush resistance in high-traffic areas and a polyurethane sheath designed to withstand crushing by both military tanks and outside broadcast vehicles. Each is multistage, machine polished, and tested for <-55 dB RL.

Clearly the back of the DM7X module does not have a DB-25pin connecter, so using the Hosa snake to connect the pads to the module isn't going to work.

A: No, this is the only configuration for the Canare Slim Tactical SMPTE Fiber Optic Camera Cable.

A: There is not a built in way to mount the stage box, but, the back plate is attached by 4 screws which can be removed and you can drill through the back plate to install on a wall or desk. Or, you can use a strip of heavy duty hook and loop tape (velcro) to secure it to a surface.

[Single Mode] I bought this Whirlwind 12 channel snake to run into my new 22 x 10 Drum room recently finished in my home studio. I have not installed it as of yet but after examining the snake and its components I feel that it will be an excellent choice for this application. It will be run thru the wall into a nearby tracking room to be patched into a 16 channel wall box that is attached to my console in the control room. All the components used are very robust and high quality. I am looking forward to many years of trouble free service. FYI I almost chose another brand which was significantly cheaper but after reading the reviews on the cheaper snake, I came to the conclusion it was a piece of junk. Your sound is only as good as your weakest link so why use high dollar microphones only to get subpar transmission thru cheap wire and shielding. Hats off to Whirlwind products.John A. 5

[Single Mode] I had owned a whirlwind for many years and never had a problem with it. It was a 100ft 24 channel snake and became too large for my needs. I sold it and purchased a much cheaper (not whirlwind) 25ft 12 channel snake that lasted a couple of years and then had to have 3 channels repaired over a 6 month period. I had enough of that and purchased this one and I am expecting it to be the dependable snake that I had with it's big brother for so many years. 5
