Compatible with Windows and Mac systems, the Rocpro U33 Desktop features a USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-C interface. The Rocpro U33 Desktop features two drive bays, which support both 2.5" and 3.5" drives. This array features two 8TB drives for a total of 16TB storage capacity. The included drives are configurable in RAID 0, 1, 10, and JBOD.

A: Not without completely disassembling the box. I would recommend and hot swap HD caddy like New Technology Voyager and mirroring software like Synchron.

Q: 10. I am understanding that if a drive fails one has to buy a new one from WD due to their encryption are these drives available and how much are they so one cannot just by another seagate red drive and. put it in ?

A: The drives are replaced by WD within the Limited 3-Year Warranty. Otherwise, you can use any RAID compatible drive that is 5400 RPM.

[, RAID 0/1/JBOD] The setup was quick and easy (Raid 5 out of the box), drive speeds seem good. I have this attached to a media PC to play HD/4K material to a projector and it's handling that with zero problems (serves as storage for my Plex server). It gets moved back and forth between PC's frequently and no issues with that either. When I fill it up I plan on getting a second one assuming no issues crop up. 5

[Desktop] an absolute power house for larger and longer jobs. this rad is a tank and insanely fast especially with the new cards and resolutions and information coming out on cameras. downloads an alexa s35 card full in 20 minutes. 5

[16 TB] In RAID 5 configuration, this drive does the job of archiving my images. It is so quiet that you hardly know it is operating. So far, very happy with its performance. 5

[AC Adapter] Changing RAID modes on this box in quick and painless with the included RAID configuration utility. The device includes backup software but I prefer to use Macrium Reflect. In RAID 0 mode the drive can easily sustain over 120 MB (mega BYTEs not megabits) per second on a capable hosted server over USB 3.0 It is likely even faster over USB 3.1. When I outgrow this I will be buying a newer larger version starting with Buffalo's products. The B & H purchase was awesome as usual! 5
