The Rocpro U35 is designed with the MCU feature, which monitors and helps the in-chassis system temperature stay cool. If the system temperature rises due to drive usage, the MCU will increase the fan speed to full speed and an alarm will sound. Users can manually adjust the fan speed with a dial on the rear of the array. Additionally, if the fan fails or the device temperature is too high, the alarm will ring and let the user know the status of the fan.

Q: 1. I am understanding that if a drive fails one has to buy a new one from WD due to their encryption are these drives available and how much are they so one cannot just by another seagate red drive and. put it in ?

[128 MB] This allowed my new Mac to connect to an old Dell monitor. Not ideal set up, but working perfectly until a new monitor comes my way.

[128 MB] I think this is a fine drive. It's fast, quiet and runs cool. I've been using it for a week so far putting it through the demands and have had no issues.

Their warranties seem to be terrific. Hopefully one doesn't need to use it, but the fact that they can overnight a drive to you if yours goes down is a big plus.

[16 TB] The setup was quick and easy (Raid 5 out of the box), drive speeds seem good. I have this attached to a media PC to play HD/4K material to a projector and it's handling that with zero problems (serves as storage for my Plex server). It gets moved back and forth between PC's frequently and no issues with that either. When I fill it up I plan on getting a second one assuming no issues crop up.

[16 TB] It might be a bit pricey, but it's a lot of fast storage that you can easily carry around. It holds about 10TB of virtual instruments for me and I love its portability. Seems very rugged as well.

[128 MB] Ordered cable and arrived 2 days later. Was somewhat anxious about DVI-D cable working with USB-C. Worked immediately without any problem. If you want screen to work with closed Macbook Pro, Macbook needs to be powered by charger connected to AC wall outlet. Mine worked on battery with Macbook Pro open. Fully satisfied.

[16 TB] This OWC 16TB ThunderBlade RAID drive replaced a 24TB Promise Pegasus RAID and I'm never going back to HDD drives. The Promise could be heard from the other rooms in the house, while the ThunderBlade is completely silent, even when working right next to it on the desk. It's also a LOT smaller. I suggest removing the OWC soft raid software which has caused issues for us in the past. We have the drive formatted as RAID 0 directly in Sonoma 14.3 running on our Mac Studio M1 Ultra. SSDs are a lot more reliable than HDD so I'm more comfortable running these in RAID 0 vs another RAID. However, SSD is not a replacement for a backup, and I have this drive being backed up onto my old HDD once a month.

[1x 80 mm Fan] After using some smaller Glyph hard drives, I fell in love with them. I decided to give this bad boy a shot and I couldn't be happier. I will not go back, I'm in on Glyph from here on out. Reliable, awesome service and a wonderful product. Built like a tank.

[128 MB] I do photography which takes up a lot of room. I had 6 external drives totaling 12T. This drive replaced all of them as well as doing an automatic backup. I was also able to eliminate one docking station and 2 USB extenders. My office is so much neater. Well worth the price. One thing to note - check your power settings to have this drive on all the time as it takes a bit to come up after being powered down.
