Combining a comfortable wide-angle design with an ultra-fast maximum aperture, the Sigma 16mm 30mm 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Lenses Kit Fujifilm Xis part of Sigma's Contemporary series of lenses and designed for use with FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras. Characterized by its bright f/1.4 maximum aperture, this lens is adept at working in low-light conditions and also affords increased control over depth of field for selective focus control. The optical design makes use of several low dispersion and aspherical elements, which control color fringing and various aberrations in order to provide high sharpness and clarity throughout the aperture range. Individual elements also feature a super multilayered coating to suppress flare and ghosting for greater contrast and color fidelity when working in strong lighting conditions. Benefitting the optical assets, this lens also sports a stepping AF motor for quick, quiet, and smooth focusing performance that suits both still photography as well as video applications.

As part of the Contemporary line within Sigma's Global Vision series, this lens is designed to achieve a balance between convenience and performance, and meshes a compact, lightweight build and versatile handling with notable optical attributes.

Wide-angle prime is designed for APS-C-format FUJIFILM X-mount mirrorless cameras and provides a 24mm equivalent focal length.

Bright f/1.4 maximum aperture excels in low-light conditions and also affords increased control over depth of field for achieving selective focus effects.

Two special low dispersion (SLD) elements and three F low dispersion (FLD) elements reduce color fringing and chromatic aberrations in order to achieve greater clarity and color accuracy.

Two aspherical elements are used to limit distortion and spherical aberrations and also contribute to greater overall sharpness and accurate rendering.

A super multilayered coating has been applied to lens elements in order to minimize lens flare and ghosting and contribute to producing contrast-rich and color-neutral imagery, even in backlit conditions.

A stepping AF motor benefits both photographers and videographers with its fast, precise, and near-silent performance.

Rounded nine-blade diaphragm contributes to a smooth and pleasing bokeh quality.

The bayonet mount is constructed from brass to ensure accuracy and durability. Additionally, rubber sealing in the mount design renders it dust and splash resistant.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Is there a set that will work with canon EF mount? or an adapter that will allow these to work with the Blackmagic 6k pro?

A: There isn't an adapter that will allow Sigma 16mm, 30mm, and 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lenses Kit for Micro Four Thirds to work with Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K Pro (Canon EF) There are cinema lens kits such as this one from Rokinon you can use with that Blackmagic camera but they are manual focus only. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1107509-REG/rokinon_cine_ds_lens_for.html

Q: 2. Will these lenses work well and effortlessly on my Lumix GH5 and would I need an adaptor at all toount the lenses? Thanks in advance

A: These lenses are fully compatible with the GH5 and do not need an adapter.

Q: 3. Are these lenses compatible with Sigma's USB docks?

A: No, these are mirrorless lenses. You may be thinking of Sigma's lenses for DSLR and SLT cameras.

Q: 4. Is this compatible with a black magic pocket camera 4k?

A: The Sigma 16mm, 30mm, and 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lenses Kit for Micro Four Thirds is compatible with the Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 4K.

Q: 5. If I choose "Sony E" for the lens mount then will these work (and work well) with the Sony a7 iii camera? And will they still have the same effective focal lengths (16mm, 30mm, and 56 mm) ?

A: Unfortunately, as these are APS-C format lenses, they would mount but work "poorly". Your A7III will go into Super35 crop mode and use a 1.5x crop factor. The lenses would then be equivalent to 24mm, 45mm, and 85mm.

Q: 6. If I choose "Sony E" for the lens mount then will these work (without "vignetting" or anything like that) with the Sony a7 iii? And will they be the same effective focal-lengths (16mm, 30mm, and 56mm) still?

A: Unfortunately, as these are APS-C format lenses, they would mount but work "poorly". Your A7III will go into Super35 crop mode and use a 1.5x crop factor. The lenses would then be equivalent to 24mm, 45mm, and 85mm.

Q: 7. how about manuel focus?

A: Yes, you set manual focus through the menu.

Q: 8. Are these lenses a good match with the Sony FX-30?

A: Yes, Sigma 16mm, 30mm, and 56mm f/1.4 DC DN Contemporary Lenses Kit for Sony E are a good match for Sony FX30 Digital Cinema Camera.

Q: 9. I’m planning on getting the trio for my canon m50. Will I be able to use them in the future with an adapter if I change my body to the Sony mirrorless or maybe canon R? I love these lenses but I’m afraid I may be over committing for something I may not be able to bring with me to other bodies. Love your help and clarification. Thank you!

A: I'm sorry but there are no Canon EF-M mount lenses adapters. You would have to get a Canon EF mount, then you could use them on all the cameras.

Q: 10. Should I get this or the zeiss 18mm 2.8?

A: It depends on what you are doing and a matter of personal style.

[FUJIFILM X] Need more time to do a full evaluation but so far...

[APS-C] I've used these lenses for a video shoot with my Panasonic GH5 and my results were gorgeous, if not stunning. I know these praises are normally used for lenses costing $4,000.00 each but, believe me, these Sigma lenses really deliver. I used them in an available light situation indoors, with only faded, yellowish, recessed, ceiling fluorescent lighting and was very concerned about my resultant image quality. When I arrived home, I reviewed my footage on a 4K monitor and my videos were sharp, clear and realistic with fantastic color rendition. I didn't even have to set up one supplemental light source. This three kens kit is a must for videographers. True, these lenses focus by wire but with constant practice or non moving shots you will not be disappointed. No regrets whatsoever on this purchase.

[FUJIFILM X] There aren't a ton of EF-M lens options, and while I enjoy my manual primes this trio of Sigma lenses can't be beat. Fast autofocus, sharp images, solid construction. If you have an EF-M camera, these are a must-have.
