Q: 1. Hello yes..I can't find much info on the IRIX 45 MM other then youtube and there is not a long of info. I've been using Sigma art 50mm and 85mm for a while. I'm in the market for a new lens. I do a lot of vblog and my camera body is Nikon d7200. Please can you provide me any info on IRIX 45mm and how will it work with my Nikon d7200. I look forward to hearing from you?

A: Irix makes very good quality lenses and are manufactured very well. This is of course a manual focus lens, so no autofocus but will marry up with your camera quite well if you are looking for a focal range of about 65mm.

Q: 2. Would this be a good lens for astrophotography? And what about Timelapse work?

A: The IRIX 45mm T1.5 Cine Lens (Canon RF, Feet, Black) can be used for astrophotography and time-lapse work. But most prefer a lens that is wider.

Q: 3. I have a Lumix S5, could I use this lens with the ef-mount version on my L-mount with the EF-L Fusion adapter? Could it work well?

A: YEs this lens will work on the Panasonic / Leica L series line of FF camera with an L mount to EF mount adapter

[Full Frame] WOW! Is all I can say about the IRIX 45mm F/1.4 Dragonfly on my Pentax K1 - Mark II. I took the risk of purchasing the IRIX Dragonfly lens and I have really found it to be an exceptional lens in Bokeh, clarity, color, sharpness and very easy to focus manually. Very well built and I love the fact it is weather sealed. It is unique in references to the image quality and the look of the photos I get from this lens. I have really enjoyed using it.

[21mm] Everything you'd want out of a decent cine lens on a budget. Build quality is great, focus ring is smooth. No complaints.

[11, Rounded] I did a comparison between the Canon CNE 35mm and the IRIX 45mm and if you were not told you could not tell the difference. The sharpness, chromatic aberration, Lens flares, and bokeh looked really similar.

[43.3 mm] It never stoped to amaze me the kind of build this lens has. Nice big and a little on the heavy size. I will compromise well build for fragility, I may also add this has a very nice glass. Overall very satisfied with the lens.

[T1.5] I love this lens. 45mm is perfect because it is between the 35 and 50 primes that I tend to use most of the time, mostly via manual focus with my Pentax K1. Extremely sharp and contrast is very natural and slightly less contrasty than other recent Pentax lenses yet with great color. I recently shot a parade with this and the top of the line $2k Pentax 85mm f1.4 SDM AW. Almost all the keepers where with the 45mm. Highly recommended. I've also owned the 15mm (broke) and currently own the Irix 21mm which is a perfect focal length for indoor shots (same as iPhone main lens field of view). I also highly recommend the Irix 21 and 15. One downside: the infinity focus stop on Irix lenses is not calibrated so you can focus past infinity. I use Live View to get it right.

[21mm] 8K sharpness, weatherproof, low focus breathing, solid metal build quality, 180 degree focus throw. The list of features go on and on. For the price I have never found a lens like this. I compared for months Sigma Art series, SLR Magic’s, Zeiss Milvus. Personally this lens should sit next to higher price brackets like Sigma Cine, New XEENs, Zeiss CP2’s. Having this lens for a week I can say this lens lives up to every feature. Shooting on my Pocket 6K this thing makes it feel like I have a whole new camera or at least like I’m finally taking full advantage of my sensor. Can’t recommend this lens enough. I plan on buying the brand new 15mm Cine and the 150mm Cine macro all 3 will be the price of a single average priced Cine lens!

[21mm] But unfortunately I've heard of some of them coming apart internally. So... hopefully mine lasts, because it certainly makes gorgeous images and is a pleasure to rig and use on set. I'd compare it and cut it with my Zeiss Milvus lenses, no joke.

[T1.5] Very sharp and focus lens. I use it on my Canon T4i and my newer 80D. It works nicely with both. Have a new puppy so need a fast lens which works in low light.
