Audio professionals in need of a portable and rugged Dante output interface will appreciate the Allen & Heath DT02-M, a cost-effective, compact 48/96 kHz Dante interface enabling two XLR outputs, ideal for a variety of fixed installation and AV / hire / portable applications. The unit is designed to be used with any Dante-equipped Allen & Heath mixer or AHM system as well as with third-party Dante systems. The DT-02-M can be powered with a 12 VDC power supply (not included) or via PoE.

The DT02-M is housed in a compact, rugged aluminum enclosure with rubber feet, allowing it to be easily installed wherever it's needed, such as in the vicinity of powered speakers or monitors or placed in an equipment rack. Should you wish to rackmount the unit, separately sold rack ears and a rackmount kit are available.

Q: 1. Can this Mixer record individual inputs via USB?

A: The Zedi 10FX mixer allows you to record up to 4 channels via the usb connection.

Q: 2. Does this box provide clock as a leader?

A: No, the Allen & Heath DT20 Dante Input Interface with Power Supply does not provide any clock leader functionality.

Q: 3. Would I be able to record 64 channels of multitrack audio at 96kHz with this card in the SQ?

A: The SQ mixers can only process up to 48 channels, so that would present a limitation. The Dante Virtual Soundcard is also not capable of 64x64 operation at 96 kHz, so the Allen & Heath SQ Dante Module for SQ Mixers and AHM-64 Audio Processor would not be able to be used in that particular way.

Q: 4. does it have pad ? to Attenuate the signal

A: No, there is no dedicated pad switch on this mixer. However, Allen & Heath's GSPre preamp stage has a wide dynamic range of 5 to 60 dB and this provides exceptionally low noise and enough headroom to accommodate a wide range of signals. The mixer also features guitar DI high-impedance jack inputs allowing guitars to be plugged straight to the mixer without the need for separate DI boxes. A low-cut filter is also provided to clean-up unwanted low-frequency noise.

Q: 5. Thanks for the review man, I have question about MIDI recording. So can I play my MIDI keyboard thru this mixer only, with no usage of audio interface and have low latency?

A: Unfortunately the ZED-10FX isn't capable of receiving or transmitting MIDI information. The USB interface on the console can only be used to record or playback up to 4 channels of audio. If your keyboard does produce audio, then yes, you could use one of the stereo 1/4" inputs on the console to record that audio signal via USB.

Q: 6. Does this unit require any top or bottom ventilation when rack mounted?

A: No, the Allen & Heath DX168 Portable DX Expander does not require any top or bottom ventilation when it is rack mounted. The fans and ventilation ports for the DX168 are on the sides.

Q: 7. Can the mix in the usb out of the ZEDi10 FX replace my iOS camera mic for live streaming? I have been using an Apple camera connector cable with no luck so far.

A: Yes, you can use the usb out for streaming. ZEDi can be used like an interface in DAWs as well recording individual channels. To my knowledge, OBS only supports a stereo sum of a usb audio signal. If that’s still the case, you could use a ZED10fx if your intent is only for streaming and not recording. The usb put on the ZED10fx sums to stereo over usb

Q: 8. dose it have pad ? to Attenuate the signal ?

A: The Zedi 8 does not have any pad switches for the input level, but the model up, the Zedi 10 (B&H # ALZEDI10), does have Line/Pad switches on channels 3 and 4 which attenuate the input level by 20 dB.

Q: 9. Can this and this unit and the AR2412 be link to Q7 and both be seen on Dante network out of the mixer board? mixer with Dante.

A: The Allen & Heath DT168 16x8 Dante/AES67 Audio I/O Expander can be connected to SQ series mixers via Dante, but the Allen & Heath AR2412 is not Dante-compatible.

Q: 10. Will this work with the Allen & Heath ME-U 10-Port Monitor Hub for ME-1?

A: You would require BH #ALAHMDANTEA for that compatibility.

[1 lb / 0.5 kg] This is a very high end Dante interface sample rates up to 192khz The latency of this unit is extremely good I run all Ubiquity network to 5 rooms And the latency is only 187 microseconds not milliseconds I’m using 12 Channels out If you register the warranty online it turns it from 1 year to 2 years I highly recommend this interface 5

[48/96 kHz] Very well made. Potentiometers are tight with resistance, not sloppy as some other brands are. Very low noise. Effects are higher quality with many to choose from. Real pro sound. 5
