The GCS1934H allows you to easily swap between systems with a variety of control options. With mouse emulation mode, you can switch systems using a USB 3-button mouse with scroll wheel. With an optional DB9 to RJ-11 cable, you can use RS-232 commands. Video, audio, and USB connections are isolated, ensuring that no crosstalk between devices occurs when switching. If you need to keep tabs on a device, you can combine two audio sources as outputs.

Connect your computer up to the GCS1934H without needing to reset your entire setup thanks to the hot-pluggable design. With EDID support, the GCS1934H remembers and stores the display's parameters, eliminating change in resolution when swapping between devices.

A multilingual keyboard mapping feature supports English, French, and German keyboards. With support for N-Key Rollover, you can obtain collision-free typing with select keyboard models. Additionally, with Mac keyboard emulation, your keyboard can act as a Mac-style device. You also get auto scan mode to monitor all connected computers, power-on detection, and upgradable firmware.

HDCP 2.2 technology offers you a secure connection between your host setup and your connected computer so you can easily watch secure file formats.

You can use the GCS1934H with a wide range of systems including Windows 7, 8.1, and 10 operating systems as well as Mac and Linux systems.

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Does this switch provide PoE (Power over Ethernet) to devices?

A: This switch BH #NEGS108400NS does not do PoE.

Q: 2. Does it support PAL camcorders with 1080 50p HDMI ?

A: There's no mention from the manufacture stating that this would work with PAL/50HZ.

Q: 3. If I plug this into a USB 2.0 port on laptop, will it safely provide full required power to a USB 3.0 device using the AC adapter, while still allowing the device to communicate/sync/etc (at USB 2.0 speed) with the laptop?

A: I have used the IOGEAR hub connected to my early Mac Air laptop that has two USB 2.0 ports. IOGEAR hub was powered by its provided AC adapter. Laptop was not plugged into AC power. Then I connected a Kingston USB 3.0 hi-speed media reader to the the IOGEAR hub. Finally into the Kinston media reader I inserted a CF card from my Canon. Images transferred without any problem. Hope this helps.

Q: 4. Can the IOGEAR USB Type-C to 4-Port USB Type-A Hub with Power Delivery be connected to a Windows 10 PC or laptop such that it works as designed? Or is it only for a Mac? Specs do not state this.

A: IOGEAR Says; Yes as long as the Lap top or PC has a USC C connection it will work. Yes this is fully Windows 10 Compatible. Thank you for choosing IOGEAR.

Q: 5. How many of the ports support power transfer?

A: Power / charging is supported on all the ports of the IOGEAR met(AL) USB 3.0 4-Port Hub with Power Adapter.

Q: 6. The cable to connect the hub to the Mac is kind of short. Is there any cable you can recommend as an extender to connect both?

A: As this hub supports 60W USB-C power delivery - we do not currently have a USB-C extension cable that would be suitable for it.

Q: 7. Will this power adapter works with 220 V?

A: The power adapter of the IOGEAR met(AL) USB 3.0 4-Port Hub can also support 220v.

Q: 8. Can you connect this switcher to itself with the RS232 control cable and control multiple units at once?

A: The RS-232 connection on this unit is available so it can be be paired with a high-end control system, such as products made by Crestron and Extron. You should be able to connect multiple of these units to such a control system, however you will want to consult with an AV Engineer about creating such an advanced system.

Q: 9. What kind of plug does the passthrough adapter use? (Picture is confusing)!

A: IOGEAR says: The GUH3C4PD is a USB C device. PD Pass through would be a USB C connection . Thank you for choosing IOGEAR.

Q: 10. Does this hub support 5gbps per port or 5gbps over the whole hub?

A: It's up to 5 Gbps overall, not per port.

[5 VDC] Because you can enter a 1..4 number after the double hot-key, you can jump to whatever console you want. This is handy because I have 2 PCs and 2 Raspberry Pi's attached and the frequency of use is disproportionate between them.

I have to say the front buttons being metal flaps are weird, but I never use them. If you did, you might appreciate a real physical switch. I expect these are mini-PCB switches behind the cool plasma cut metal.

I also don't use the shared USB as the mouse/kbd is all I need to switch.

[AC Adapter] I have had no problems with Pearstone HDMI cables. Since I use a laptop and move around to various second screens (Once you go dual, you never go back!) sometimes the 3 footer is just not long enough. So I just bought a 10 foot Pearstone cable from B&H to handle the problem. I still use this cable for the short runs.

[5 VDC] I found the IOGEAR 4 port HDMI KVMP switch to be very useful and works great with my Samsung Smart Dock! I bought it about 6 months ago and I am very happy with it. The only issue is that because it works off the usb ports for switching between devices, depending on the device, there is an occasional lag. But it never lags when I switch from or to my Samsung smart dock that I connect my Note 3 to.

[4096 x 2160] I use this on my surveillance system with 3 NVR and a workstation.
It works great, especially like the ability to share the speakers and microphone between all 4 pieces of gear.

[Plastic, Metal] I replaced a GCS 1764 with the 1794 because the 1764 had problems passing the video from more recent video chips, although it worked well with older chips. I presume that the 1794's ability to mimic the attached monitor accounts for the improved performance. I have not managed to test the ability to feed audio thru the HDMI connectors yet. My Panasonic receiver errors out when fed the HDMI video/audio. HDMI video feed direct to the monitor works fine.

[12.8 x 8.5 x 4"] This device allowed me to connect two computers to the DVI input of a Panasonic switcher. We could switch between a live on the web pc and video playback on mac. The switch was almost seamless, just a millisecond or two of black between computers.

[4] I have 3 computers. All are running 24/7. My main rig (email/word processing etc)has it's own dedicated monitor but my other 2 which are the faster machines are my photographic server and processing rigs. As I only need to see my photo server display occasionally, I decided to use a KVM switch. I had a Belkin (VGA) switch which I tried. That really was a piece of junk. So I bought this one (from B&H) and it was a breeze to install and so far has performed flawlessly. I have had no problems with Windows 7 updates as reported by another reviewer. Yes it is a little expensive but, guess what, you get what you pay for (most of the time!)

[Yes] Using the product with a collection of Raspberry Pi. Works very well. Able to switch displays quickly without any problem. USB follows along with no problems. Happy customer!

[5 VDC] I built a second machine for playing around with Linux and Windows 8, and wanted a 2 port KVM. This is a nice one. The switching has been problem free so far. I like that additional USB devices can be hooked to the KVM so that they follow me to the machine I am working on. The cables are also nice and long - so no problem with putting the unit on the desk. No real complaints I can think of. Nice KVM that keeps out of the way until it is needed.

[Plastic, Metal] I first spoke with B&H Photo tech support regarding using this with Lorex NVR.
They thought it should work fine and it did.
Quite happy with this KVMP, I have 3 Surveillance recorders hooked to a 24 monitor, mouse and speakers.
Saves a lot of space and the expense of a monitor, speakers and microphone for each recorder.
