This Laowa Nanomorph 27mm T2.8 Anamorphic Lens MFT Silver Flarefrom Laowa Nanomorph 27mm T2.8 Anamorphic Lens MFT Silver Flareis a slender, compact anamorphic lens that captures high-definition video with 1.5x anamorphic squeeze on cameras with S35 sensors. It features a focal length of 27mm, a Micro Four Thirds lens mount, an aperture range of T2.8 to T22 for a deep depth of field, and 13 iris blades for a shallow depth of field and soft bokeh.

The prime lens has a very short minimum focus distance of 16.9" and offers anamorphic qualities such as high contrast, silver color lens flares, and a 70.8° horizontal field of view. Other features include measurement markings in feet and meters, 0.8 MOD cine gears on focus and aperture rings, and a 55mm front filter thread. The Micro Four Thirds lens mount is interchangeable and can be swapped out for an optional mount.

[27mm] The iPhone 15 Pro cameras are bigger, so add-on lenses have to be optimized for the new camera. (Stay away from budget lenses) I was happy to see it was sharp and in focus from corner to corner on my 15 Pro. The T-series mount is larger. Moment sells phones cases for the mount, and some iPhone cages have available adapter plates that can handle T-series mounts. Mount the lens by twisting. Use the included hex key to align the lens so it's vertical. The iPhone 15 Pro camera is already wide, so adding a 1.33x lens means we are approaching the ultra wide view of a GoPro. (You can punch in with the Blackmagic Camera app--so that gives you a range of options). The gold anamorphic flares are stronger than the older models which is nice. Worth the money. 5

[1.33 lb] I am not really able to compare it to the others in the set yet… but it’s a safe bet this is the weakest of the 4 or 3if FF only. Partially just from to the focal length not conveying the look as strong as the wider lenses but also it really works best stopped down a tad…as it’s rather soft wide open. However I am def still very impressed by the overall quality and quality of these… they don’t feel cheap just small … shockingly small. The 100mm in PL is smaller than my RF 50mm f1.2! Impressed by this but it comes at the cost of some obvious chromatic aberrations… still for the money this is great and 1.5x may seem to enough squeeze the bokeh and flares look very anamorphic to my eyes shockingly so. If you order just one maybe the 45mm 65mm or if your on smaller than 17mm high S35 sensors… get the 35mm . This lens great but don’t make it your only option. 5

[55 mm] If you are on the fence about Vazen, do not hesitate to purchase. This lens delivers a gorgeous and wide anamorphic image. It isn’t too heavy and the cine gears are great. Works well with the Blackmagic Pocket 4K. I get excited every time I use this lens. Worth every penny. 5

[13] I used to have the Series T anamorphic lens for iphone, this one is a lot sharper, especially on the edge, and smoother color grading. And the gold flare is way better. I recommedn it 5

[Super35/APS-C] I bought a set of Viltrox anamorphic lenses, which are amazing, but I wanted something smaller and lighter for my FX6/Ronin 4D. These Blazar lenses are a lot of fun. I only have the 65 so far, which I find wide enough for most situations without having the issues in the corners that the 45 had. Waiting to try out their new ones, I just need something slightly wider and another slightly tighter. Waiting to hear what they say about the new additions. 5

[55 mm] These lenses have a constant 1.5x squeeze factor, which gives consistent results across the entire focus range and makes for reliable de-squeezing in post. Other affordable Anamorphic lens brands do not have a constant squeeze factor. This lens is clean with minimal chromatic aberration only at the very lowest T-stop. It is incredibly lightweight which is useful in run and gun productions. I cant speak for the PL mount, as those may have a bit more heft to them. Flaring is very gentle on the silver version and slightly more aggressive on the blue and amber versions. You cant go wrong with this lens. See attached example. 5

[Yes] Conversion with supplied EF mount was not too difficult. Fit is perfect. Love this affordable option for shooting anamorphic. Ordered the Laowa Venus 1.33x front anamorphic adapter to get a 2x squeeze out of it. Because of the availability delay on the adapter I can't report on the two together yet. But at a 1.5x squeeze I'm pretty impressed. Every review on youtube has been pretty spot on so no need to repeat it here. 5
