Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will the Hasselblad B60 lenshood fit over this step ring, or is 72mm filter size too large?

A: Unfortunately, a Hasselblad B60 lens hood will not fit when this step ring is in use.

Q: 2. Is this compatible with a Canon EF50mm f/1.8 STM lens? I have 58mm filters.

A: No. Zeiss/Hasselblad only.

Q: 3. Can this be used in a 114 Matte Box? Hypothetically want to take a Sigma Art Lens and used a Bright Tangerine Mistfit Atom.

A: The Sensei 72-95mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring allows you to connect a lens with a 72mm front thread to a 95mm thread adapter ring. Unfortunately, you cannot replace the adapter ring for the matte boxes with a step-up ring because they are designed as a proprietary system.

Q: 4. Would the 49-77 be good for my old Pentax 50mm f2 with a 49mm filter thread? Trying to get all my lenses using 77mm filters and lens caps.

A: it will work for filter and caps if you like , the lens hood would not fit

Q: 5. Are both threads fine/standard or is the 95mm coarse like the Canon RF 28-70L and the 67mm fine?

A: The Sensei 67-95mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring has course 1.0 pitch threading on the 95mm side, and standard 0.75 pitch on the 67mm side. This is fairly standard for these sizes.

Q: 6. Will this fit canon lenses for a 5D mark ii camera?

A: This kit will fit any lenses and filter you want to use on the 5d mk ii.

Q: 7. Can use Nisi V5/V5 Pro?

A: This is step up ring set , to use Nisi V5/V5 you will still need Nisi adapter ring

Q: 8. If I have a camera with a 30mm lens, and a 37mm fisheye, do I need a step up or step down ring?

A: If your filter/attachment is larger than your lens, it's a step-up. In this case, your fisheye attachment is 37mm and your lens' front diameter is 30mm, hence, you'd need a step-up ring.

Q: 9. Can I purchase a 72mm filter and use that one filter on both a 72mm lens and a 46mm lens with the 46-72mm step-up ring?

A: Yes, that's exactly what it's for.

Q: 10. What is the tread pitch of the filter?

A: The Sensei 86-95mm Aluminum Step-Up Ring has a 1.0mm thread pitch.

[0.035 lb] Updated my Hasselblad 80mm to a newer 80mm and went from bay 50 to bay 60 so none of my bay 50 will fit anymore. Have purchased all new 72mm filters and attached them to these step up rings. They seem well made but I imagine the first drop will tell the real story. Great price and free shipping with my additional filter order

[Aluminum] This adapter is perfect for the lover of older Hasselblad V system lenses with the Bay 50 filter mount, and lets you use common 52mm filters, instead of expen$ive, and now hard to find, Hasselblad filters.

One word of warning: the adapter and filter may cause vignetting with the 55mm Distagon... (Dunno, I dont yet have a Distagon...)

[Bay 70 to 72 mm] Does exactly what it is designed to do. Has a solid and tight lock on the lens. Feels great and is a perfect solution for anyone looking to add filters to their Hasselblad lenses.

[0.035 lb] Solid quality for a mechanical part - for a fraction of the cost of OEM I get something that will unite my top-end filters with the Zeiss, Nikkor or Fuji glass.
