Q: 1. Hi. I was told that this hood would fit the 35mm f/2.8 Zeiss lens. Can anyone confirm? Thank you in advance.

A: Yes it does fit the Zeiss 35mm f/2.8 lens, but it is very expensive and it is prone to breaking. I would look for a less expensive option if you can. I've been through this already.

Q: 2. What is the ring diameter of this collar?

A: The dimensions of the FotodioX Tripod Collar for Select Canon Telephoto Lenses is 3 x 3 x 1 inches.

Q: 3. does the lens vignette with this hood attached?

A: This lens hood would not cause vignetting on the Hasselblad C Distagon 50mm Lens.

      Q: 4. Will this fit on a Canon 18-300mm?

A: No, this FotodioX Tripod Collar for Select Canon Telephoto Lenses is not compatible with the Canon EF-S 18-300mm Lens.

Q: 5. Will this fix on a Rokinon 100mm f/2.8 macro lens for sony e-mount camera?

A: Unfortunately not, the was designed specifically for the Canon EF 70-200mm f/4L, Canon EF 300mm f/4L, and Canon EF 400mm f/5.6L lenses.

Q: 6. Is this tool also for the new Orange Dot Hasselblad lenses of just older lenses?

A: This tool is specific to older Hasselblad V system lenses which have a leaf shutter in them.

Q: 7. Are there any filters compatible with this lens hood?

A: No, the FotodioX Lens Hood for Hasselblad 50mm Distagon C does not have filter threads to allow a filter to be attached.

Q: 8. I accidentally purchased the B60 hood and it is too large for my Hasselblad 150mm. It is old and was a Gift so I do not know if it is a "C" lens, it isn't marked? Can anyone tell me if this works? Is it smaller than the B60?

      A: Yes it will fit

Q: 9. I am looking for a tripod collar for a Nikkor 300mm f.4.5 AIS, the barrel I.D. is 60mm and the band with is 25mm and it will have a 1.4-20 mounting hole.

A: Unfortunately we do not carry any tripod collars that are specifically designed for your Nikon 300mm f4.5 AIS lens. The collars we do carry are all proprietary for other lenses. We do carry a product from Manfrotto which you could consider which is basically a solution for large lenses that should have a tripod collar. It can be made to fit many different lenses. See the link below for detailshttp://bhpho.to/KwdXlA

Q: 10. I assume this hood attaches to the lens like the drop-in filter ring does. Can drop in filters still be used with this?

A: Unfortunately the FotodioX Lens Hood for Hasselblad 50mm Distagon C cannot be used with drop in filters.

[0.135 lb] If you shoot with a Hasselblad 500 series camera on a regular basis, there will always be some point where you need to manually wind up the lens or bellows or extension tube manually to synchronize the couplings when you put them back together. This tool has both sizes needed and fits securely over the coupling, makes it a simple job.

[Bayonet] FotodioX lens hoods work perfectly without the excessive Hasselblad cost, yes they are plastic, and serve the purpose of shading the lens and protecting the lens. Price is right and good quality.

[Bayonet] I expected a cheap-o flimsy generic piece that would work, just not very impressively. Well, I was mistaken. I have a real Hasselblad hood also, and this one is actually a little nicer. Metal contruction feels solid, threads are perfect, very high quality piece at a very low price. This is my second Fotodiox product and so far I'm very happy with the quality of their equipment, far beyond its price point.

[Bayonet] Why risk using a regular flat head screwdriver? This tool works perfectly. Worth every penny.

[Bayonet] Product is as described.
Solid, hefty build.
Much safer than using a screw driver to unjam or reset the shutter mechanism on Hasselblad lens.

[0.135 lb] Glad they invented something like this, good in emergencies. Keeps you from fumble-finger stabbing the lens or body interior with inappropriate tools!

[Bayonet] The Hasselblad 500 CM is a great camera and is totally analogue. No electrical components at all. It is truly a precision machine. However, there are times when the camera locks up - when the lens has been released and the camera body is still cocked. When this happens, you cannot remove the lens, you cannot release the shutter and you cannot wind the camera. The only way to unlock it is with a screwdrive or this tool. With the screwdriver, you risk scratching the back element of the lens when turning the cocking screw for the lens (which has a LOT of spring pressure). This tool slides OVER the cocking screw, preventing it from slipping and damaging the Zeiss lens glass. Easy to use, easy to pack in the camera bag and a life saver when you're in the field and the camera locks up.
