Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. how do I install my PP999 as it came with no instructions?

A: Connect your turntable to the PP999 inputs and connect the PP999 outputs to a line level input on your receiver or amplifier.

Q: 2. I am trying to hook up an old phonograph to a 90s Pioneer receiver (which still has a Phono input). The problem is the components are too far away from each other - probably need about 3 feet of RCA cable and ground extension. Do I need an item like this, or does Phono input offer enough boost to make the preamp moot? Thank you.

A: Should be fine without the preamp

Q: 3. When we record with Audacity it only records one side of the speaker on both tracks, ignoring the other side, meaning it is not stereo and only one side of the track can be heard. What is the problem, usb cable or usb output port from the preamp?

A: Check your computer settings - assuming Windows, go to Control Panel-Hardware and Sound-Sound-Recording. Select the USB Audio CODEC and click Properties, then Advanced. Make sure the Default Format is 2-channel. I do this every time I want to record something - most times the setting will be remembered, but every so often it will revert to 1-channel. Very annoying if I've recorded 5 albums before I notice!

Q: 4. Does this unit have RIAA EQ compensation?

A: The Pyle Pro PP444 will provide built in RIAA EQ compensation, and will play back correctly when connected to a line level input source.

Q: 5. Will I be able to use this to connect my vintage Technics turntable to my Yamaha AV receiver?

A: Yes it has the RIAA equalization built in. Otherwise it would not work with output of a turntable. It would sound like crap. I have on and have tested it and it sounds fine.

Q: 6. Will this device allow me to connect a TV's spdif output to a usb speaker? or does it need to be connected to a PC/Mac to work? I am hoping to connect my Bose Companion 5 speaker system to my TV.

A: I agree that the FiiO TAISHAN-D03K is probably the way to go. That's what I have hooked up between my TV and stereo system using a 3.5 interconnect. As mentioned, the ART USB is overkill with the phono preamp included.

Q: 7. Does this come with the stand adapter and/or does it need a bracket such as the BH #GOTPB2 to mount the softbox to?

A: The Godox TP-S2 Softbox for KNOWLED TP2R Tube Light has a 9,5 inch long stud and I would recommend to have a grip head of choice to mount it on the stand. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/1546848-REG/impact_grip_head_with_super.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/840826-REG/Kupo_KG203111_2_1_2_Grip_Head_With.html https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/33210-REG/Matthews_429614_Matth_Gag.html

Q: 8. Will this amplifier eliminate the tinny sounding play back on my Mac when trying record from my turn table?

A: I had no problem with tinny sound

Q: 9. will it work with windows 10?

A: Absolutely ... I've been using it on Win10 today on my system.

Q: 10. does this have the RIAA equalization built in?

A: No this Pyle Pro phono amp does not have RIAA . try this one instead. Link below copy link and paste on your browser. https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/155434-REG/Rolls_VP29_VP29_Phono_Preamp.html/overview

[2.125 lb] Price, quality, and made in the USA, outstanding performance by Bellari, I bought three units for my six turntables, Yamaha's P-300,P-500. Duals 1019, CS- 721and my Vestax PDX-2000, Technics sl-L-1, MCS-

[Aluminum, Steel] I upgraded to this from my Art ll pre some weeks Ago. It may be too early for a comprehensive review but at first listen, there was a dramatic difference on a Positive note. It is well balanced and smooth.
Sure, all these pre amp phono stages say they follow the RIAA SPECS. From what I can hear ( and this is the 4th Phono Stage, this has been the best for its price range. Running a AT VM95 ML microline nude, I have control but have stayed at zero.

I won’t be changing this Bellari for a long time.

[Black] Very interesting, early appreciation sound. This detailed in different resonance is necessary for audible experience.

[2.125 lb] It sounds great to my non-audiophile ears and is super feature rich, can't imagine needing anything more. Oh and it's tiny in size, so easy to fit it in with limited space.

[2.125 lb] Wanted to improve the sound for my vinyl LP collection by going to a separate phono pre-amp instead of using the built in amp in the AVR. I chose the Bellari because of its adjustability. The Bellari is hooked up to a Audio Technica AT-LP120 turntable using a red microlinear stylus. Great sound. Recommended.

[2.125 lb] After searching high and low for a high-quality, but affordable preamp, I picked up this Bellari, and really enjoy it! The sound is crystal clear and replicates what I imagine the original recordings to be. It also works seamlessly with my Pioneer direct-drive PL-5 turntable and NAD C325BEE integrated amp. My only minor critique is that it does not have a power switch. However, I resolved that simply with a switched power strip.

[Aluminum, Steel] Purchased 2 to DJ old vinyl on a PA system. Night and day difference without a preamp. These seem to work nicely to a neo-audiophile.
