Remotely control up to four PTZ cameras from a single location in a house of worship, corporate conference room, event setting, or studio production with the BZBGEAR Universal PTZ IP Controller with Joystick (3rd Gen)from BZBGear. The plug-and-play controller offers joystick and button control for your PTZ cameras with support for VISCA-over-IP and ONVIF protocols over IP and serial RS-232/422 communication using VISCA and Pelco-P/D protocols. It enables you to control the speed of your pan, tilt, zoom, and lock moves, and it incorporates a bright LCD screen.

The controller also offers presets including white balance, gain, iris, focus, backlight, and speed control settings to control the finer settings on the PTZ camera. The unit can be powered with a 12 VDC power supply or using Power-over-Ethernet (PoE) on a supported LAN.

Q: 8. so video and control over ip?

A: This product is only a PTZ controller it can not process video. For example if you have 3 PTZ cameras this controller can command each of those cameras to Pan Tilt or Zoom but it does not have access to the IP video feed therefore it can not switch between video signals or broadcast the video signals to a destination. If you want to switch between, record, or broadcast video signals from IP cameras you will need to use a software such as vMix HD Live Production, Streaming & Mixing Software (B&H # VMSCSIVMIXHD MFR # SCSI-VMIX-HD)

[5.165 lb] Like other reviewers, we are using this to control our streaming camera in our sanctuary. Hook up is intuitive and so is the operation. I'm not one to read manuals, and since we only have one camera it only took about 3 minutes to set up. The only complaint I have is that I wish that there was a little more fine tuning in the joystick. Yes it is proportional, and maybe it is our camera but the difference between panning slowly and make your head spin is pretty fine. All in all, I would recommend. 5

[0.6 W] We've only had it a couple of weeks, but this is a great unit. It is solidly built and easy to program / set up. It's heavy enough to not worry about it sliding on the table top. I really love the POE feature so there's no need for extra power cable -- this helps to reduce clutter on the desktop. The Joystick responds well and is easy to use. I do with all the buttons lit up, or perhaps light up a second or two when pressed (as a visual feedback). My other wish is that it had feet or a stand that could make it angle a little more. But these wish-list items do not discount my 5-star rating. Overall, this is a great unit. I would definitely purchase this one again. 5

[7 Channels] Purchased one of these for use with 4 Marshall CV605BK PTZ cams. They connected right away over ONVIF and also VISCA IP. It has most of the basic functions. Construction is all-metal and buttons, knobs, rocker, joystick all feel robust. The joystick is slow and smooth enough for on-camera moves, but the zoom (likely a camera limitation) so far has been on the fast side. It's also great having focus, color, iris buttons at your fingertips. Only gripe is that the Marshall camera's on screen menu is not working to select menu items. But I may not be doing something right. You can always use the camera's web interface or IR remote for detailed configuration. It also can't seem to connect to Panasonic PTZ cameras like the UE150, which isn't a huge deal for me since we use the RP150 for those. I was hoping that I could have several of these on a gig for quick adjustments to those cameras. Again, not a deal breaker. Anyway, we liked it so much that I bought a second one. Might pick up a few more. 5

[7 Channels] I use this controller for up to three PTZ 30x cameras, via PoE Ethernet. Nearly every feature of the camera is accessible through this controller. Besides pan, tilt and zoom, I regularly use manual exposure control, and up to 10 preset positions for each camera. A particularly nice feature is the ability to attach an HDMI monitor to view the currently selected camera via Ethernet RTSP. You set the speed one notch below that of your HDMI or SDI video. This is an essential feature when working with software (e.g., WireCast) or hardware (e.g., SlingStudio) which has a significant lag time. The monitor lag is only a few frames, which is easy to accommodate. I ultimately bought two Superjoy controllers, because I rely on it for nearly every job. 5
