Q: 10. Will this fit the older model HD 280? Mine are from around 2005. Tried new band for new model from Sweetwater and1/4-3/8 gap-no amount of stretching will get it to close as the old one did.

A: It should fit on older HD 280 model headphones. Some customers have mentioned that it did require a bit of pulling and stretching to attach, and it's important to make sure the grooves are aligned on both sides so you can press them together, like sealing a ziplock bag. Here is a video from Sennheiser that shows how to replace the padding:: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nUy6bg8MILs

[3x AAA Alkaline] Perfectly replaced the headband on my HD280 headphones which was peeling like a bad sunburn. No instructions, but just be sure to overlap the grooves as much as possible, and start from either end pressing them together like a resealable plastic bag's seal.

[3x AAA Alkaline] After two years my headband padding was torn and looking grubby. One of the reasons I bought the HD280 was the replaceable parts. This pad is easier to replace if you stretch the headphones apart using something so the headband area is closer to flat. I tore the old one off and then the new one fit right on. Now my headphones look like new!

[3x AAA Alkaline] I bought this lamp for six reasons.
1. You can use it hands free, very useful when you are hauling your photo gear and a tripod.
2. You can adjust the angle of the beam by turning the light on its central axis
3. You can adjust the size of the beam by rotating the front lens.
4. It can produce a bright light of 1000 lumens
5. The rechargeable battery has enough capacity to produce 1000 lumens for a couple of hours and by choosing a lower lumen light options (available through light switch) it can go much longer.
6. It is USB chargeable.

In the couple of months that I have used it, it has performed beautifully on all counts. I am impressed. The only remaining item is long term reliability but so far a great job indeed.

I have often found it far easier and more comfortable to wear it around my neck (rather than on my head) as I am usually wearing a winter jacket and found this way to be far more comfortable with the elastic strap going around the collar of my parka and the battery hanging over my chest.

I do have a suggestion regarding charging it with the micro USB cable supplied with the battery. Instead of disconnecting the micro end of the cable from the battery box, keep the micro end of the cable permanently connected to the battery box and tie the charging cable (after folding etc) with a velcro tape to the coiled cable which connects the battery to the lamp. Then use the other (regular USB) end of the cable to connect (and disconnect ) to a USB hub. This way there is no danger of damaging the micro end which is built into the battery holder and any damage there shall render the whole light worthless and such damage is not easy to repair. In other words, leave the micro end permanently connected.

All in all, I am very satisfied and , in my opinion, it is a great value.
Five stars.

Ajeet S.
