Sharp, small, robust, and incredibly fast, this 7artisans 50mm T1.05 Cine Lens L Mount Feet/Metersfrom 7artisans 50mm T1.05 Cine Lens L Mount Feet/Metersis built for the cinema industry and works with standard cine lens accessories, so it will easily fit into your workflow. This version of the lens comes in a Leica L mount, and it features focus scales marked in feet and meters. The maximum T1.05 aperture allows you to film a gentle soft bokeh with soft natural-looking out-of-focus highlights, while the T16 minimum aperture helps reduce artifacts that can appear when the aperture opening is too small.

The 270° focus throw allows you to make extremely accurate focus pulls, and the lens features cine-standard 0.8 MOD lens gears for focus and iris. As part of the vision series, this 35mm lens shares the same focus and iris gear positions as the Vision 25 and 35mm lenses, making swapping lenses fast, as you don't have to reposition the follow focus unit or lens motor you may be using. A 90mm front diameter allows you to use a variety of industry-standard matte boxes, and the 82mm front filter thread allows you to mount optional filters directly on the front of the lens.

The Vision series of lenses is highly versatile and available in Canon RF, Sony E, FUJIFILM X, Leica L, and MFT mounts.

ED glass and an all-metal shell provide a pleasing image and a durable lens.

Lenses in the 7artisans Vision cine lens series share common focus and iris gear ring positions, which speeds up lens changes as accessories such as follow focus units or iris motors don't have to be repositioned.

Focus markings and measurements are in feet and meters.

The iris ring has no click stops, allowing you to make smooth iris pulls.

A minimum focusing distance of about 19.7" allows you to get up close to your subject.

[Super35/APS-C] This lens is both sharp and lets in a tonne of light! It has character, reminding me of older vintage lenses, which serves to create a more filmic look than modern photolenses can provide.
Solid construction, i'm picking up the full set.

[82 mm] My second Meike MFT lens, possibly even better than the first. Nice solid lens. Bokeh is smooth, but unobtrusive, as seen in the two photos from a Panasonic GH5S, one with focus point @ 2.5 meters, the other at 5 meters. Focus scales seem to be more accurate than the Zeiss CP 2 prime I've had for years.

[T16] This is perfect for filmmakers on a budget. It's got tons of character. It's not technically perfect in anyway but at least for myself that what I want.

[50mm] If you're just stating out in the world of cinema film, this is the perfect lens. Great with focus, no breathing.

[2.6 lb] My only complaint would be that LAOWA didn’t make the 7.5 cine and 9 cine the same working diameter on the outside. But this is a solid wide angle lens for MFT.

[82 mm] I have the 24mm and the 50mm FF primes now and love them. They are my first cine primes I've invested in. There standard form factor fits my camera build and mat box, which previously was for L series auto fucus lenses.

[13] These lenses are insane, I still preffer to DZO's Vespid line. The 24mm(mine is PL) is another great lens in the line up. Everything is great here, its a little soft but lends itself to more of a cinematic look in this regard. I preffer the size and weight as well as the look of these to DZO - they arent too small like the Vespid's (may be a selling point for you, not me) Low CA Low/NO breathing... proper housing screw in 82mm front filters- these are proper cine lens for 1/4 of the price. This is an excellent edition, now hurry up and release the 16mm, 105mm, and lastly 135mm so I can complete my set!

[Super35/APS-C] 7Artisans has brought us an entry level 50mm T1.05 cine lens. This is a great lens if you are wanting to into cinema lenses. Both the aperture and focus rings are smooth. The focus ring is a short throw. The rings are as they should be for using focus motors. 7Artisans thought ahead and added measurements in both meters and feet for the focus ring. The thread size is 82mm and the front outside is 90mm. This lens will fit in most matte boxes. The T1.05 aperture is great in low light situations. If you plan to use this lens in normal daylight, you'll need a filter as this lens' aperture range is 1.05 to 16. The video I get out of this lens paired with the S1H has been wonderful.

So far I haven't had any issues with the lens and plan to purchase the 35mm version to use with the S1H in the near future. I would recommend this lens to anyone wanting to step into the world of cine lenses.
