Add a high-quality, multi-function PTZ camera to your conference room, event space, or house of worship with the silver BZBGEAR 4K NDI PTZ Camera Kit with Joystick & PoEfrom BZB Gear. The camera features a 1/2.5" Sony 4K CMOS sensor and outputs over HDMI, or you can use the NDI or NDI|HX protocols to stream video and audio, control (IP), and tally.

The camera supports uncompressed video transmission over NDI and MJPEG, H.265, H.264, and NDI|HX compression formats. When connected to the Internet, this IP camera allows you to control PTZ actions and monitor the surveillance area from a remote location via a Web browser. This provides you with several advantages like reduced integration costs, easy remote production and engineering, and lower cost for multiple location systems. You can also control the unit via its RS-422 serial input with a separately available serial PTZ controller.

Equipped with a 12x optical zoom, this PTZ camera enables you to zoom in on activity in the monitoring area for a closer look. The lens also has a wide 80.4° field of view for capturing large meeting rooms. It features HDMI and USB 3.0/2.0 outputs as well as its RJ45 Ethernet output that can transmit up to 4K video on any NDI network, and the low-latency NDI|HX compression maintains high quality without any degradation. The RTMP/RTMPS streaming protocols are also supported so you can broadcast live directly to internet streaming sites. The camera also supports 3.5mm audio input, allowing you to capture and embed audio within the video signal.

Q: 1. Does this unit have a smoother Joystick with pan and tilt? The older units from PtzOptics are very "clunky"

A: Yes. The following unit offers a clean and smooth Full pan/tilt/zoom PTZ camera control with speed adjustments on the fly.

Q: 2. 1) Would I be able to RTMP stream to YouTube (etc) and transmit NDI/HX over my 10 GbE network? 2) Is there any additional licensing cost to using NDI/HX out of the box? Thanks, this looks perfect for our needs.

A: 1) This camcorder can only stream via 1 protocol at a time. What most customers do when using a camera like this is they use NDI to send the video to their switcher across a local network and then the switcher is in charge of streaming out to YouTube via RTMP. (switcher can either be hardware like a NewTek Tricaster or software such as Vmix, Wirecast, or OBS) 2) there is no additional licensing cost for accessing NDI. I hope it works out for you!

Q: 3. Can this unit control pan tilt heads, a cameras zoom and focus control, and a motorized sider?

A: No it can not. it is designed specifically for PTZ cameras.

Q: 4. Will this work correctly to control the AViPAS cameras over IP? Model AViPAS AV-3104IP

A: The short answer: Yes it can but we only recommend using this controller with PTZ Optics Cameras. While it is possible to use this controller with other NDI and IP cameras we cant guarantee full functionality (such as adjusting white balance color shading etc). Most of our customers that try to cross brands on IP based solutions (even in an instance like this where they both support VISCA over IP protocols) have experienced problems. For experienced IP professionals there are ways around the limitations to make this work with most IP based PTZ cameras. For people who are just starting out (or want a set up with low maintenance) we recommend matching PTZ cameras with controllers designed by the same manufacturer.

Q: 5. Is this compatible with Sony SRG-X120 1080p PTZ Camera with HDMI, IP & 3G-SDI Output?

A: Yes it would be.

Q: 6. so video and control over ip?

A: This product is only a PTZ controller it can not process video. For example if you have 3 PTZ cameras this controller can command each of those cameras to Pan Tilt or Zoom but it does not have access to the IP video feed therefore it can not switch between video signals or broadcast the video signals to a destination. If you want to switch between, record, or broadcast video signals from IP cameras you will need to use a software such as vMix HD Live Production, Streaming & Mixing Software (B&H # VMSCSIVMIXHD MFR # SCSI-VMIX-HD)

Q: 7. Will this controller work with the Birddog X1?

A: The BZBGEAR Universal Compact Serial and IP PTZ Camera Joystick Controller can control the BirdDog X1 PTZ Camera via Serial RS-232 or RS-485.

Q: 8. Hiw does the hdmi out produce a video signal? Is the controller decoding the ip signal?

A: It is, indeed, decoding the Program and RTSP output via HDMI.

Q: 9. Can this control the Canon CR-N300?

A: Both products are listed as having VISCA compatibility, however, the Canon camera is listed explicitly as having compatibility with the Canon branded RC-IP100.

Q: 10. Will this control a BirdDog Eyes P120 1080p Full NDI PTZ Camera?

A: Yes, The PTZOptics SuperJoy NDI|HX/IP controller will support controlling NDI cameras like the Birddog PTZ models. Also, this is Birddogs controller and the best option for Birddog cameras. BH #BIBDPTZKEY

[NTSC] This controller has been incredibly easy to configure and use. While some functions required the manual to figure out, others are so intuitive that I was able to figure them out via trial and error on the first try. This is a solid addition to our livestream ecosystem. 5

[3.8 to 43mm] We use this in a church sanctuary to control three PTZ cameras. Previously, we had PTZ's IP SuperController, which was frankly, a pretty bad experience. We took a chance one this newer iteration and we love it. Solidly built, responds well, controls what we need and most importantly has not once had to reboot itself at the slightest static shock. 5

[12x] I own 5 Z-Cam E2C's for my podcast/livestream studio. The only gripe I ever had was that the E2C needed the Stream Converter app to output NDI. Now with the E2N, it's native. This was a game changer for me. I wish I could trade in all my E2C's for the E2N. Plus there is a multicam function for syncing that I really want to play with. Small and powerful. I've been a happy Z-Cam owner since 2019. I've gotten many compliments on the quality of my video podcasts and much of that is thanks to Z-Cam. 5

[NTSC] The camera is doing a great job with live-streaming our church service. We did have to down scale it for our provider but in time technology will improve in their end. The camera does not have any image stabilization so if you are zoomed in over a long range someone walking by will create a slight tremble in the image if you don’t have it mounted on something to absorb the shock. We are covering a distance of about 65 feet and it produces a great image for us. 5

[IP RS-422] Purchased one of these for use with 4 Marshall CV605BK PTZ cams. They connected right away over ONVIF and also VISCA IP. It has most of the basic functions. Construction is all-metal and buttons, knobs, rocker, joystick all feel robust. The joystick is slow and smooth enough for on-camera moves, but the zoom (likely a camera limitation) so far has been on the fast side. It's also great having focus, color, iris buttons at your fingertips. Only gripe is that the Marshall camera's on screen menu is not working to select menu items. But I may not be doing something right. You can always use the camera's web interface or IR remote for detailed configuration. It also can't seem to connect to Panasonic PTZ cameras like the UE150, which isn't a huge deal for me since we use the RP150 for those. I was hoping that I could have several of these on a gig for quick adjustments to those cameras. Again, not a deal breaker. Anyway, we liked it so much that I bought a second one. Might pick up a few more. 5

[3.8 to 43mm] I did a comprehensive review on YouTube going through the UI, Testing NDI latency, low light etc. I've use this with Sony PXW-Z90v cameras (also a 1 sensor) Pros: 4k NDI requires just ONE cable! Image Quality is better than the Sony PXW-Z90v (in low light) Works with eCamm Live (Mac) via NDI (plug and play) only 3 frame latency with NDI Fine motor movements Works with Mac Safari Browser Has XLR Inputs Cons: I wish these devices had a camcorder battery (I could rig this to be totally wireless) Does not have full NDI, so it isn't compatible with the Birddog Flex Initial setup is confusing Does not come with a lens cap (be careful when transporting) - two can fit in a Pelican 1637 case. If you want to use NDI with the ATEM or any other HDMI based switcher, you should get the Magewell Pro Convert NDI to HDMI adaptor here at BH Photo. My use case: I put this in the center of a dining area for a fundraiser that provided almost 360 degrees of coverage without obstructing the views for the audience. I paired this with a Skaarhoj PTZ Pro controller. Tip: When you first plug it in via HDMI, you will need to set a username and password via the web browser before you can use the camera.
