Made of a high-strength polymer resin, this Odyssey Vulcan Injection-Molded Utility Case 17.5x12.75x3.25case features an interior space of 17.5 x 12.75 x 3.25" and comes with convoluted foam under the lid. No foam is included for the interior space. The case is impact resistant, watertight, and dustproof. It has a comfortable carrying handle, a pressure release valve, and padlock holes. It's also stackable with other Vulcan cases of the same size.

A: Yes according to the pictures there are grooves on the back of the SKB Injection-Molded 4-RU Studio Flyer Rack Case that make it stackable with other SKB rack cases.

Q: 2. What is the largest monitor you can pack with this case?

A: The Laptop work surface area is 19 x11 . With some basic algebra (a2+b2=c2), one can calculate the max diagonal length of your monitor or laptop should not exceed 21.95 . Based on this information, an 18 laptop (approximately) would be the largest size monitor the SKB 1SKB-iSF2U will support.

Q: 3. Can this work with an 8th gen iPad?

A: Yes, you can attach your iPad on the top. The Velcro holders can be positioned as needed on the mat to hold a laptop or tablet.

Q: 4. Does anyone know how to remove the top laptop working area for setup?

A: Set up of equipment would be throuht the front and back racks. The top lid unclasps to reveal the adjustable work surface for laptops. This can not be removed.

Q: 5. Would the H4N fit in the spot for the recorder and a Rode Reporter Omnidirectional Handheld Interview Microphone fit in the accessories spot?

A: Hi Cameron, The H4N is wider than the H5 and unfortunately will not fit into this case. We do have a custom cut case for the H4N. BH's model is SK3I09074B01. It doesn't look like the rode reporter mic would fit into that case. You could purchase our 3i-1209-4B-C case that comes with cubed foam or you could get our 3i-1209-4B-D that comes padded dividers. Either one of those cases would give the length you need for the microphone and space for the H4N and other accessories.Thank you,Will

Q: 6. Does it come with mounting hardware?

A: The SKB Injection-Molded 4-RU Studio Flyer Rack Case includes rack rails to mount your studio equipment to.

Q: 7. Will a Universal Audio Apollo x8p fit in this case? The knobs on this case stick out quite a bit and I'm not sure if it will fit.

A: Yes, it will fit with about 1/2" to spare.

Q: 8. Are there any panels that can be purchased to close up the side panels that run down the depth of the pull-out rack ? Would be interested in closing up some or all of that portion that is open on the dimension that is 13 deep. Inquiry partially due to aesthetic preference

A: Unfortunately we do not carry a panel that would accommodate the sides of the inner rack.

Q: 9. What's the height of the laptop workspace? I'm wondering if I can fit an Apple TV in there

A: The laptop work surface is 19'' x 11''.

[Universal] The case has a very strong rigid exterior, a real hinge, secure latches, pressure vent, lid gasket and rubber grip handle. Interior has the depicted cutouts for the H5 and another for whatever you can fit into the area. The lid has an egg crate soft foam liner. This is a great case for the equipment that it is designed. 5

[Universal] Nice foam option to fit dynamic and small condenser mics securely. The extra space for things is nice. You can fit some condensers and mic clips in there. This case could definitely be thrown down a flight of stairs with out braking. 5

[Empty] I love this case! Some little areas that need to improve but overall best case for our use! We use this for mobile video production. We rackmount our audio interface, power supply, laptop and more. Love the double rackmount on front and back which allows you to do patch panel in back. Wish wheels were little bigger and more rollerblade style than the hard plastic kind but they roll smooth. SKB needs to build a stand on it! Or at least have a good stand accessory with a place to mount stand on case would be cool. Get this case if you are a audio or video freelancer! 5

[Yes] I like this case very much. A lot of foam padding and the mics sit well in the cut-outs. I can also put the mic cables in the square section. Lots of room for storage of mic clips, etc. You can customize it to your needs. Latches keep the lid on securely. 5

[Empty] I bought the Zoom recorder exclusively to record on the go, so I wanted to invest in a proper case that would do a good job at protecting it. I feel very comfortable taking this out in the field because I know it will be well protected. 5
