[0.275 lb] This diffuser is essential, especially for lights that have multiple LEDs to reduce any artifacts. This diffuser is made of a very strong material and the magnets snap in very securely. It also allows the light beam to become wider and more spread since the cello has a tighter beam angle, which is also a great thing especially if you need a high concentration of light, and at a longer distance for efficient light throw.


If you must use the Cello as a keylight for some reason, these diffusers don't do miracles. It will diffuse the light, to a certain degree. The MOST important aid using this diffuser, it to attenuate shadows from the LEDs and to widen / soften the light beam.


For keylight, an additional diffusion is required. If you want a super soft light. Impact brand makes excellent translucent diffuser discs. Search for them at BH. Not only it will make your light source soft, but also bigger.


I'm very pleased with this diffuser. I use it all the time, unless I want to use the Cello 2 to throw as much light in the background as possible, then I remove the diffuser.

[3 oz / 85 g] I bought this with the diffusor to provide three different options of light pattern for the Fiddle. This attaches magnetically to the light and stays securely attached.

[0.275 lb] The LUXLI Fiddle already provides a precise, directional light, but adding this grid, it became even more precise. By adding this grid, you can create very interesting spots, highlighting a particular area and even for Macro Photography.


The grid is made of a rigid material, which I prefer over silicone.
The magnets are strong and will not come off the Fiddle.

[Honeycomb Grid] When I bought a pair of Luxli Fiddle LED lights I also bought diffusers for both. Unfortunately, Luxli didn't offer either grids nor barn doors for the Fiddle, so I wrote to them to ask if they would be willing to do so in the future and even offered to beta test prototypes for them. They responded with a nice form response and that was the last I heard from them. I decided to work with a friend who has a 3D printer and we created the design and started printing prototypes of our own. After we got the first prototype printed I was browsing the B&H site for something else and thought I'd check to see what accessories they offered that I might be interested in and to my surprise, they showed this Grid. I immediately ordered two and after receiving them I'm very happy I did. They are much better than the prototypes we created and I know I'll get good use from them. Now for the barn doors,

[Plastic] This Diffuser is solid and easy to use. Just place it near your Cello and it magnetically snaps on. The magnets are strong enough to keep the diffuser in place in any position but it's easy to remove and store. The diffusion is perfect and create a soft spread of flattering window light. [Plastic] What can I say? This is a well built light modifier that will soften your light and narrow your spread for predictable separation of subject and background. The magnetic connection is solid and will stay on even with vigorous movement. If you want to get the most out of your Luxli Fiddle than you NEED this. [Plastic] One of my favorite pluses about the LUXLI Cello is that it
doesn't spill light all over the place and provides a more concentrated, narrower and effective beam. I could already have great results when wanting to spot light something in specific areas. But not as precise until I installed this grid. Now I can really pinpoint where the light beam is going selecting for artistic shots on both, people and products.

The actual grid is rigid (non flexible) and will not come off the Cello.

I prefer a rigid material instead of silicone. Being rigid, it stays in place and it doesn't attract dust comparing to a silicone one.

I you need a tighter spot, get this grid.

[0.275 lb] Not much to say, except these are a much more elegant solution than the original softboxes that Luxli offered. I love the Cellos, and this makes them easier to work with.

[Honeycomb Grid] Literally the only Luxli product I didn't love was the original Cello diffuser. It was a pain to get on and to stay on and just felt clumsy and unrefined. The new one is just awesome and seems so obvious I'm not sure why they didnt just make it in the first place. It goes on and off effortlessly and feels very solid. Cannot recommend this enough!

[0.275 lb] Lightweight and effective are the two words I will use to describe this incredible light modifier. The ability to narrow the spread of light allows me to shape my lighting to my subject (typically products, toys & collectibles) which makes for much better final images.
