  • The scaled hammer-action keyboard is an action mechanism with hammer weighting equal to a grand piano and housed in a compact body to combine slim size and responsive touch. The keyboard offers three sensitivity levels to deliver the response of a traditional grand piano with a remarkably accurate touch.
  • The simulated ebony-and-ivory textured keys feature a fine-grain finish to prevent slippage caused by perspiration. Smooth to the touch, the keys feel comfortable to the fingertips, even during long sessions.
  • The 64-note polyphony makes it possible to play complex piano arrangements without cutting off notes.
  • In addition to standard equal-temperament tuning, 16 alternate temperaments (scale tunings) are available.

  • A realistic stereo grand-piano sound is complemented by 9 additional sounds including electric pianos, organs, and strings, with adjustable reverb and chorus effects.
  • With layer mode, not only can you play just one single sound, but you can layer a second sound over the first sound.

  • The convenient duet mode allows the piano’s keyboard to be split in the center, making it possible for a teacher to play on the left side while the student follows along on the right. Alternatively, one person can play the left-hand part on the left, while another plays the right-hand part on the right.
  • To help you practice and perform with precision timing, the built-in metronome offers patterns with 0 to 9 beats at a tempo ranging from 20 to 255 BPM.

  • The built-in stereo speaker system delivers a clear sound for playing at home or even in small venues, while the headphone jack allows you to practice quietly at any time using your favorite headphones.
  • The 3.5mm stereo audio input lets you connect your music player and play along with your favorite songs.

  • The onboard 1-track MIDI recorder enables performances to be recorded to the piano’s internal memory and played back—helpful during lessons or just for fun.

  • The built-in MIDI interface features a class-compliant USB port that can connect to any Mac/Windows computer or iOS/Android portable device with no drivers or installation needed. Use your piano as a MIDI controller for music production with your favorite DAW.

  • Casio Music Space is a free app exclusively for Casio digital piano and keyboard users. When running on iOS or Android devices connected to your Casio piano via USB, the app acts as digital musical score, a music teacher, a live-performance simulator, and as an all-around app to enjoy learning and playing music. It’s for complete beginners, people taking up an instrument again, and anyone who wants to experience a new way of playing. Expand your enjoyment of music by watching, listening, and playing through the app.
  • The piano can also be seamlessly controlled from the free Chordana Play for Piano app for iOS/Android smartphones and tablets. Quickly and easily change settings such as tone, touch response, and metronome.

  • The CDP-S160 comes equipped with a standard sustain pedal and can be used with the optional standalone SP-34 three-pedal unit.
  • Greater authenticity is achieved with the optional CS-470P stand, which places the instrument at perfect playing height and features a crossbar with three pedals fixed in place as they would appear on a traditional acoustic grand. This functionality appeals to classical and jazz players who seek the immediate familiarity of the pedals being right where they expect them.

Q: 10. Deciding between the Recital and the concert models. is the key feel very different? hammer vs semiweighted adustable feel

A: Yes, there is a difference in the feel of the hammer action and semi-weighted keys on the Alesis Recital Pro and Concert 88-Key Digital Pianos. Hammer action keys can also be referred to as "fully-weighted" and the keys are heavier and can be harder to press down than semi-weighted keys which are lighter and very easy to press. Hammer action keyboards are often favored by players who have experience playing a traditional acoustic piano as this type of keyboard requires more strength and finger dexterity. There are also players who prefer the ease of semi-weighted keys. The sound of the piano can be the same whether the keyboard has hammer action or semi-weighted keys. Keyboards with semi-weighted keys are typically lighter, less expensive, and more portable. This is also true for the Alesis Recital Pro and Concert 88-Key Digital Pianos. There is a considerable difference in the weight of the two models. The Recital Pro weighs 26 pounds while the Concert model weighs 15.6 pounds.

[1x MIDI] While the Yamaha keys do feel more like grand piano keys, this keyboard SOUNDS better than the Yamaha 143. recommended.

[13 Hours] This is a very clean and small, easy-to-move piano, with great sound and feel to the keys. The bench is also pretty nice as well.

[13 Hours] After two months of research, all reviews led me here. This piano sounds wonderful. The synthetic ivory on the keys feels like a real acoustic piano. My only complaint would be that the power button is not always responsive immediately when powering down.

[Yes] Did a lot of research into what to get for my first proper digital piano, and so far very happy with going with the PX-S3100. Was considering the FP30X as the biggest competitor, along with the P125, DGX670B, and ES120. But for the price ($750) and all the extra sounds, I'm happy I went with the PX-S3100. Build quality feels solid, it feels and sounds like an analog piano. Also honestly part of the reason I went with it was that it just looks a whole lot nicer than the competition. And it's noticeably smaller and lighter than some of the competition too (looking at you DGX670B). If you're dead set on the most similar experience to an analog piano than the FP30X is probably want you want. But after playing it, I think there's a reason there only seems to be a single guy who is complaining so much about the key feel while everyone else considers itself perfectly fine.

So if you're looking for a really impressive beginner/intermediate digital piano for under $800, this is really what you want and I'm glad I went with it.

[64 Voice] I bought this keyboard, because it is portable. I can use it any where at anytime. It also uses batteries in case there isn't an ac available to plug it in. The keys are comfortable to play on. I am happy with my purchase.

[1x USB-B (MIDI)] I temporarily moved to another place but couldnt bring my yamaha ydp 163 with me so i decided to get a cheaper digital piano to play on.

After watching and reading reviews on this L1 Liano from Korg, i decided to purchase it.

First toff, dont expect a 350 keyboard to performance like a 500 dollar or more digital piano, it wont, but what it lacks in features and keybed feel, it does provide a good sounding keyboard and easy to move around.
You also get 88 keys.

First thing u notice is that the keybed isnt weighted. Its got the digital keyboard feel to it, but slightly better.

The sustain switch that came with it does a good job of holding down the notes. I was able to get a feel of it and play on it quite well, but of course i would prefer my ydp 163.

It comes only with a few onboard sounds. But they sound pretty good, even through its built in speakers.

For 350, i think it's a fairly good deal. Was hoping to get a blue one but bnh only carries the black one...

If you the market for a cheap good sounding "keyboard" that doesnt break the bank, give this one a shot. Dont expect weighted key action on this though. Even without the weighted key actions, im able to play most of my songs with little to no issue.
