A: The Sunwayfoto Dedicated L-Bracket for Nikon Z6 II and Z7 II Mirrorless Cameras is compatible with tripod heads that have an Arca-Swiss Style clamp. If you have a head like that on the Manfrotto 055xproB tripod it will work

Q: 2. Will mounting an external microphone to the top of the smallrig cage (as opposed to mounting a microphone directly in the camera's hotshoe) decrease the amount of audible G-lens autofocusing noise picked up by the microphone when filming with older G-lenses?

A: While we are not aware of any specific testing on this it can only help. You still may hear it, but what you are hearing is a vibration coming through the camera body, a cage could help minimize that.

Q: 3. Would this work with a Nikon D7500? If not, which Small Rig product would work best?

A: The Smallrig 2926B will be an updated model that will be released soon. Smallrig at this time has not supplied info on the differences.

A: The rule of thumb with cages is, if the camera name is not in the title, it most likely will not fit. The Nikon Z50 will not work with the SmallRig Camera Cage for Nikon Z5/Z6/Z7/Z6 II/Z7 II.

A: Due to their almost identical functionality, I would recommend the SM2926. It will likely have only a subtle difference compared to the other two but is a slightly more recent model due to Smallrig labeling it as compatible with the Gen-II models.

A: The Falcam Quick Release Camera Cage for Nikon Z5/Z6/Z6 II/Z7/Z7 II is not designed to be form-fitted around the Nikon Z8 Mirrorless Camera.

[Cage] Using this on my Z6ii and it fits like a glove. No wiggle, snug and sturdy. Plenty of options to attach with this. My primary use is camera protection, but very easy to attach whatever I may need on it. Very happy with this purchase. Very light as well. I would recommend this Rig. 5

[Aluminum] I have tried several cages for my Z6, Z6ii, and Z7, but don't use them any more. This Falcam cage is awesome. It is super convenient with the F22 and F38 attachment parts. I like the F38 part for vertical orientation, too. Highly recommended! 5

[1x Cold Shoe] I needed something to help use a Nikon Z7II for video. this along with the top handle helps hold a DSLR like a video camera. I keep this rig on my camera fulltime. Easy access to all features is provided and adds protection to my camera. Extra accessories can be added to the rig which is a bonus. 5

[0.835 lb] Got this cage (with the Scorpio handle) for my Z6II. I had done extensive research before choosing this one. After seeing images of the SmallRig option (where one of the screws went into the strap holder) I decided to go with the 8Sinn (I have the strap loops on my camera where I can remove the straps only). This cage fits perfectly. It is sturdy, stable, very well made. The handle goes on well. The screws just fit, and there is no need to struggle setting anything up. You can configure the cold shoe options as you wish, or later, add extra features to it. I like this one better. I would totally recommend buying this product. The company is based in Poland, in case you wonder why does it take longer to order these. 5

[Aluminum] I bought the original version of the z6ii cage but felt compelled to update to the new cage primarily for having the QD hole on the bottom. I do a lot of event and construction photography so carry dual bodies a lot. I feel the qd is a much more secure system than the peak design system I was using. Also the arca mount on the bottom is a huge plus 5

[Aluminum] Protects my camera and adds a ton more options to kit it out with whatever I need. I can still access my battery, I/O, and memory cards perfectly fine. My camera still feels fine to grip. 5

[0.835 lb] In case you haven't noticed, modern digital cameras are really sophisticated computers. I think I'm reasonably intelligent, but trying to figure out the options for even one aspect of the Nikon Z7ii or the Z6ii, autofocus for instance, is not intuitive for me and more complex than with my DSLR's. I have read three of Darrell Young's previous Mastering the Nikon.... books including the D750; the D850 and the Z6. These books are far more informative, in my opinion, than the User Manuals that you get with modern cameras. I sold my Z6ii after a year of use, trading it for a Z7ii about a month ago. I'm only 100 pages into reading this new book which includes much of the Z6 book but also includes the detail differences of the Z7ii and takes into consideration the firmware updates/improvements that have occurred since the Z6 book was published (first edition November, 2019). I also find that I have benefitted in that previous read and continue to discover nuances with the Z7ii thanks to Mr. Young's thorough explanations. Thanks to reading his books, I find that the Z7ii is far more enjoyable to use and believe that I am utilizing more of its capabilities. Highly recommended!! 5
