Q: 2. Will these speakers work well as rear channel speakers with a system powered by a Yamaha RX-V485 receiver?

A: Yes they will very well as rear surround speakers.

Q: 3. Is Yamaha R-N303D Network Stereo Receiver capable of bringing out the best from this pair of speakers?

A: These are very sensitive 6 ohm speakers. The Yamaha R-N303D, while an excellent receiver, is not designed for 6 ohms, and is less than ideal. It can power the speakers, but could conceivably be damaged at high volume.

[2-Way] Unbelievably easy and clever install. Once holes cut, it’s maybe five minutes per speaker and you are done.
Sound is very nice. Speakers are very efficient so don’t need a lot of wattage from your amp. Being able to adjust tweeter orientation also a helpful feature.

[30 to 120 W] The B&W Formation soundbar improves the fidelity and intelligibility of the speech and music coming from the TV. It's size isn't large at all as it sits in front of the 77inch OLED screen. Be sure and add the Formation Bass (subwoofer).

[8 Ohms] I needed a center speaker that would match well with the 700 S3s I have, and these do seamlessly.

[30 to 120 W] I purchased these for music listening. I had been using a vintage pair of Advent mini bookshelf speakers but wanted something much better. The Klipsch speakers sit on a shelf about 4.5 feet high and about 6-7" from the wall. I listen from about 15 feet away, slightly below axis. My audio sources are all analog (AR XA turntable and Sony tape decks). I have been listening to everything (Stan Getz, Chicago, ELO, The Cure). So far, these speakers are amazing. I do not find them overly bright, as many reviewers have said. I actually find them very neutral and accurate. The bass is very good. I could easily tell a standup bass from an electric. I can hear the breathiness of Stan Getz sax playing. One of the most noticeable abilities of these speakers is to reproduce drums and cymbals accurately. I could hear things I hadn't noticed before (little accidental rim shots, the sound of the wooden drumstick hitting the bell of the ride cymbal. Not just the cymbal but the sound of the stick). I listened to a vinyl copy of ELOs second album. My old Advent's failed miserably on this one (in fact it was painful). These Klipsch speakers reproduced everything flawlessly. I don't think I have ever enjoyed this album as much. The strings, synths and even Jeff Lynn's guitar all sounded amazing and coherent, as they were intended. This morning, I listened to a copy of Moody Blues Days of Future Passed from a cassette tape (with Dolby). Again, the sound was great. I forgot I was listening to a cassette. I was doubtful that speakers this small and inexpensive could really do what Klipsch is known for, but these really sound amazing. They are bright and clear but seem very accurate and detailed. I don't like dull speakers but didn't want excessively bright either. These seem to be just right.

[8 Ohms] I am using Wharfedale 4.2 speakers and Marantz pm-6006 integrated amp. This little sub is a very nice fit for my system. I am 58 years old and want full sound without a lot of volume. This sub has lots of connections options and filters to customize the sound to my liking. It is the final link to a really good sounding system. I am in a 12' x 18' room with hardwood floors for reference. We are using this for TV, Movies and Music with a Marantz NA-6006 and AT-LP5 turntable.

[Black] I have a pair of B&W 606 S2 speakers that I absolutely loved for hi fi stereo listening. Been happy for years but recently decided to try the 706 S3 because I always wondered why the 706 cost more than $1000 more than the 606. After 30 seconds, I know why. The midrange and highs from the 706 is silky smooth and depending on the material, the sound stage is deep. Sometimes I think the instruments and the singer(s) is in the same room! It's that good. I am driving these speakers with a McIntosh MC275 and boy does it sound good. Also the fit and finish of the cabinet is much higher than on the 606 series which might matter to some people. For me it's the exceptional and accurate reproduction of musical instruments and vocals that matter most to me.

[8 Ohms] Returned a new Sonos Play:5 which was half the price. The Wedge sound is so much cleaner and more spacious; great sound stage. Hard to believe it comes from such a relatively small (wireless!) package. Even pleases my wife with the Art Deco design. B&W Formation app works fine to set up. Very easy. Comes with 60-day trial of Roon which I highly recommend. Would absolutely buy again and feel it is well worth the $.
