A: No, it is a toggle switch not momentary. It will stay on the on position in which the ring around the button lights up as well as a ring around the microphone. If you hit the button again all lights go off and the microphone should be in the off position.

A: It is a allen key or a coin. You can replace it with a D ring. I have done so.

Q: 6. The big knob locks both the ball and panning. So how do you actually pan on this thing?

A: These are not solutions. This is either a design flaw, a defect in my particular one, or misleading description. Load capacity is 8.8 lbs. But if you have to loosen the ball in order to pan smoothly, then the load capacity is more like a few ounces unless your camera/lens is perfectly balanced on the plate, which wouldn't be the case even with a lot of mirrorless combos.

Q: 7. can the pole be unscrewed from the base?

A: Yes the pole can be unscrewed from they base, they are two separate pieces.

Q: 8. How long the battery last, I need it for a busy restaurant!!

A: A single alkaline battery should supply hundreds of hours of actual use. Be sure NOT to leave the talk switch in the ON position.

A: This will not flip 90 degrees

A: This is a very small tripod. 7.3 long when folded. One would need to consult with the particular airline if it is acceptable to bring it onto the plane

[Aluminum Alloy] Used this to convert my trusted Manfrotto 161MK2B tripod into a very capable bike stand. Expensive for what it is, but there is nothing else like this on the market. The extension allows for adequate bike clearance from the tripod legs so the pedals don’t hit them. 5

[3.595 lb] I love the quick release part of the Falcam system. It's strong and sturdy like the systems that require tools and screws, but it's way faster. This handle looks and feels great. If you're a shooter who likes a top handle, I definitely recommend checking it out. 5

[Aluminum Alloy] I have found that using this with theJOBU 3.5 Riser Block, a really right stuff ball head, and a really right stuffB150-B macro focusing rail works well for macro shots. Very stable. You can also put a little weight on the pod if you want but so far it is very stable without it. 5

[Aluminum Alloy] Made in the good ol' US of A. Nifty looking and functional. The legs are the right length, with the bend and the ability to space the legs out gives added stability on uneven terrain. A nice hefty knob to tighten and loosen. Good design, good craftsmanship and good material. 5

[Silver] This is the best mini-tripod for me. I wanted something small yet extremely sturdy so that it could expand options, particularly when using a regular tripod is awkward - taking a close-up picture of food on a table. My only complaint is that I needed to purchase a reducer separately to use my tripod heads with it. Albeit they are inexpensive, yet, then why not include one with it? I have used it with my heavy Nikon 300mm f/2.8 AI lens as well as other large lenses. As long as one of the legs is parallel to the lens, it won't tip. I will be using this a lot with my macro lenses, especially my 200mm. It's a great tool to have in my tool chest. 5

[Silver] Working on a project that involves live streaming a radio show with mixed audio sources, using a mirrorless camera. Given a 3 minute setup and then 3 minute take down time in the studio this little tripod has worked wonderfully. This is a serious little tripod that can deploy quickly, hold with confidence a heavy setup, and most importantly provide a very solid base for photography. This is working so well that I will add two more to my collection. 5

[3.595 lb] This awesome and a must have for the travelling photographer... this and a ball head mounted ( RRS BH-40LR is mine ) and you get a compact and amazing stable shooting platform for anytime a tripod is just awkward. Think Europe - Old buildings where tripod can't be used. Fantastic, strong and light weight (291grams on my scales.) Glad I got it !! 5
