[1 fps and up] Does exactly what it says it'll do and is easy to set up. Only been using it for a day so far, but happy with it.

[1 fps and up] Birddog is it. They are the real deal and have been on the cutting edge of NDI, riding right along with Newtek, these guys have it down. If you want all in one solid integrated package of configurable devices with support to back it up ... go with Birddog all the way. The Flex family of encoders and decoders are a mainstay in our studio to put out reliable 4K NDI signals without fail.

[1 fps and up] Using with the 4kQuad-4Channel and this works reliably in a 24/7 environment. 1080i59.94 and 1080p30 sources. I'm using with the internal SFP port and not the built in network. It's a little bit funky to get it to swap between the two, but once it's set, it says there.

[1 fps and up] I have purchased four of these devices, and they come in a tiny package that sits in the palm of your hand, but they are super powerful. I have them set up to receive NDI feeds directly from ProPresenter. Two of the devices are powering projectors that are used to fill our 40'x12' DIY Video Wall, and they look amazing and handle all of the scenic projections we throw at it for Theatre and Dance productions. We use the other two to receive a live Video Feed from the Video Switcher to send one Backstage so performers waiting to go on stage can see what is happening and be ready when it is their time, and one to the lobby so that those visiting the concessions can still see the action on stage. It's been almost two months with these and they are performing beyond expectations.

[1 fps and up] Almost any camcorder produced before 2018 doesn't have NDI capabilities but with the addition of the Birddog Mini, you can make a leap into the world of networked video without any heavy lifting.

Excellent choice for any church or school that needs to stream video but doesn't want to incur the cost of wiring for video. Any HDMI source can be plugged into the Mini and using a local network, connected to a computer with a streaming application such as vMix or OBS. No capture card necessary - it just works.

This is a device that needs to be in the toolbox of any serious videographer.

+ The interface is very intuitive.
+ I selected the desired NDI stream once and it automatically goes back to that stream when it turns on.
+ If the network is strong you want have any issues with dropouts.
+ I didn't see any additional latency compared to SDI outputs from the same machine.

This product with the encoder was perfect. It was easy to setup \ configure. It just works and the quality of the Picture is great.
We were using a different encoder and decoder which was hard to setup and configure and consistently lost the connections on out network. So we are glad to find this.

[1 fps and up] Normally don’t write reviews but very impressed so far with the quality and reliability of these NDI devices. I purchased 4 to pair with 4 FX30’s. It’s been about 3 weeks now and they’re running 24/7 off PoE. No issues at all. Initially thought they didn’t work but turns out the cheap Amazon hdmi cables did not support 4k 30fps. Fixed that with some premium atoms hdmi cable and been super happy since. Not many reviews for these ndi converters but definitely worked well for my application (video production w/ OBS or Wirecast)

[1 fps and up] I heard that they were small, but I wasn't prepared for just how tiny it is. I am starting to incorporate NDI, as I expand the capabilities of portable live streaming rig.


It was a little slow to configure, but now should be good to go.


I choose this encoder, because of the flexibility of the form factor... I can had additional camera mods easily.
