A: The Fotopro Sherpa Summit Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod with FPH-63Q Arca-Type Ball Head and Monopod (Black) and the Fotopro Sherpa Max tripod both have almost the same features. [4] Not a studio tripod, but not its best use, either. For wildlife and landscape, you will be hard pressed to find a significantly better travel tripod at this price point. Easy to erect, easy to take down, stable, well-made and capable of supporting a heavy rig, e.g. Nikon D850 w/Nikon 300-500 zoom. A great value for the money.

[Carbon Fiber] I love this tripod! It's compact yet very sturdy. I fly a lot and needed a lightweight, compact tripod that fits in luggage and doesn't add a lot of weight. This fits the bill. It's stout enough to hold both a video camera and a still camera and long lens.

[Ball Head] I was a little apprehensive at first when I bought this tripod+ballhead because it was not a brand I recognized. But having examined the product, it is every bit as good or even superior to another European brand that I had bought before. The machining of the parts are precise and it is indeed a travel tripod that now fits in my carry-on. The Arco-type quick mount is one of the things that sold the product to me. At a hefty 17-lb capacity, it is all I need as an all-purpose tripod, even good enough for my 200-400 f4 Nikkor beast of a lens. There are two levels that allows for horizontal or vertical leveling. Nothing was left to chance in this tripod product. Even the tools for configuring are included. It also functions as a monopod using one leg of the tripod and the center column. Having both spikes and rubber feet allow it to handle various terrain. And have I told you about the fact that is mostly carbon fiber and therefore very light. After buying this tripod with all its features, functionality, and included accessories, I have not had to buy anything else.

[Yes] The National Geographic Carbon Fiber Travel Tripod is perfect for me, I needed a multifunction tripod for the kind / type of photography that I do. Which is mostly on rocky shorelines and river inlets. First off, being carbon fiber, it is very light weight, plus it is very resistant to the salt environment that I work in. Secondly, the way the legs are mulitfunctional really helps in positioning the camera in the right spot and angle to get the shot that I am after, the ball head also helps with this. The fact that you can change the center shaft so that you can put the camera down low, but still have the stabilizablity of the tripod really helps a lot.
I have tried a number of different tripods over the years, and this one by far meets my needs the best.
