Record from and manage up to 8 local analog cameras at resolutions up to 2MP with the Hikvision AcuSense iDS-7208HUHI-M2/S 8-Channel DVRfrom Hikvision. Additionally, this DVR supports up to 8 IP cameras if Enhanced IP Mode is enabled and no analog cameras are used. It is equipped with two SATA ports that support HDD storage up to 20TB (available separately). H.265+, H.264+, H.265, and H.264 video compressions keep file sizes manageable while maintaining the best quality possible. Two-way audio communication is supported.

This DVR features motion detection and perimeter protection with human/vehicle analysis. It has VGA and HDMI video outputs to connect to external monitors.

[8] I purchased this NVR for a simple two camera security system on my home. I bought a separate hard drive, which gave me twice the recording capacity for the same price as one that came pre-installed. Installation was easy, thanks to videos on YouTube. It came with the necessary connectors to install the hard drive. I installed the NVR , along with my cable modern and wifi router, in a pantry and it works fine. It is plugged into a good quality surge protector. It make a bit more noise that I expected, but it is not bothersome. Hopefully it will provide years of service. 5

[8] I bought this unit to replace a Very poor performing unit from Zosi, This worked perfectly with the TVI cameras in the zosi kit, the detection and recording settings are fully customizeable which I love, And the HIK 6 app is great and has a easy to use UI. Another plus is that the HDMI/VGA and CVBS video out can be split and have different live view settings. 5

[2x SATA] The problem was that the DVR I was using for my security cameras, though it was a different brand than my TV, it had the same code as the TV. So, when I changed TV channels, the DVR for the cameras changed the camera screen. The only solution was to purchase a new DVR. Problem solved with the Hikvision AcuSense iDS-7208HUHI-M2/S TurboHD 8-Channel DVR (No HDD). 5

[Yes] This is an awesome DVR/NVR! It provides the ability to add 16 coax cameras including TurboHD. Adding IP cameras requires POE injectors or switch, but is easy. This is not the recorder for a novice, but if you have experience with CCTV systems, this is an excellent choice! 5

[Yes] I have used over 10 different brands of CCTV equipment. As far as DVR go, this one from Hy vision has been great. I use it as my test machine when I’m on site doing jobs. Never had an issue with it in over a year. Hik makes a great product. Their DVR’s, NVR, and cameras are all solid. Much better than Reolink, Lorex, and the other Store brands for sure . Highly recommend 5
