Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will a Canon 7D Mark II with a 100-400mm IS II USM attached fit in this bag?

A: Yes, as long as you are not, or do not plan to use a battery grip on the Canon 7D Mark II.

Q: 2. Are the waist belt/staps removable?

A: The waist belt and the straps on the Tenba Axis V2 LT Backpack (Black, 18L) are not removable.

Q: 3. will this hold a Canon 5D MIII,Canon 24070 f/2.8, Canon 70-200 f/2.8, canon 85mm f/1.4 (all with hoods reversed) and canon 600 ex rt?

A: Yes

Q: 4. What is the waist size range for the hip belt? What is the recommended user torso length?

A: The Ruggard FotoTrek PKR-730BL Hiking Photo Backpack comes with an adjustable hip belt. The maximum waist size on this bag is 58”.

Q: 5. Will a 1dx mark ii with attached 400mm 5.6 L fit in this pack?

A: Yes this bag could fit the Canon 1Dx Mark II and a Canon 400mm f/5.6L lens. They may not be able to fit attached, but it has the capacity to fit both.

Q: 6. Is this intended for mirrorless cameras, or can it carry a Nikon D810 or D500 with an L-bracket on? Either way, the listed interior depth of 2.1 must be a mistake. Please advise. Thanks.

A: This backpack will definitely fit your Nikon equipment. Some of the product photos show the bag filled with pro Nikon lenses and a D810.

Q: 7. What is the maximum uninterrupted interior length of this bag, can I fit my Sony 200-600mm lens inside? (just over 13")

A: The uninterrupted interior length of the Tenba Axis V2 LT Backpack (Black, 18L) is 15". (The top compartment and main compartment which are separated by a zippered divider can be removed allowing continuous use of the entire length of it). Therefore, this backpack has the length required to carry the Sony FE 200-600mm f/5.6-6.3 G OSS Lens, which is 12.52" long. However an easier access backpack which would offer an easier access to this long lens would be the Tenba Axis V2 Backpack (Black, 16L). https://bhpho.to/3yqcV8u

Q: 8. how does this bag compare to the Backlight 18L?

A: The Backlight 18L is set up more for serious hiking. This bag has a heavily padded waist strap for supporting the weight of a fully loaded bag on a long hike. The waist strap puts some of the weight on the bag on the hips and takes some of the strain off of the shoulders and back.

Q: 9. Has anyone tried this pack with a 4x5 camera and a few lenses, light meter and holders?

A: I think it would be too small, I would recommend the next size up.

Q: 10. will this fit under the seat of an airplane?

A: It depends on the airline and the size of the plane that you are taking, but in general it won't fit, it is too big.

[Yes] [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ready for some hiking or International traveling? This Thule backpack has it all with the storage compartments inside. Now you can bring both your computer and tablet with peace of mind they will be protected within. You could even bring two water bottles for a hike and stay well hydrated. Sorry the kitchen sink will not fit inside but you will be surprised at all that can fit. The material is sturdy and rich feeling for texture. The price may seem steep but for how well it is made and the usefulness I would recommend it for all you adventure enthusiasts!

[Black] This is my second backpack from them only because I love the new style. Its the most durable pack that I've had. I use it to commute into Manhattan everyday so it gets tossed around a lot. It's also the perfect size, not bulky but has a lot of pockets to keeps my things organized.

[Black] I took this pack hiking every day in Glacier Montana in July. I carried 3L of water in a bladder, towel, raincoat, lunch, first aid kit, and fishing gear. This pack held up just fine in the heat, dust, rain, and hail. The quick access side pocket was convenient. My only complaint is the bottle pockets do not fit larger containers, nalgene size.

[Black] I use this mainly for work. I'm a VP of sales taking flights around the US 4 6 times a month and this bag fits my laptop, work supplies, reading book for the plane, umbrella and rain coat no problem while being sleek enough to fit under the seat in front on the plane. I prefer the backpack design to the messenger bag as a personal preference and this backpack is classic enough to function as a work bag in a office environment.

[1.455 lb] This is the best travel backpack ever. So many different compartments which is great. It's not bulky and my laptop and iPad fit great with room for other items. Great looking, great construction and high quality design.

[1.455 lb] I bought Nanum to wear during the upcoming ski season. On a whim I used it as my personal item on a flight for an overnight trip. I could not believe how much I was able to pack in and still remain a comfortable carry! I own a larger 20L Thule backpack that I was very happy with. The Nanum was smaller and lighter but still allowed for many items. The rigid back frame kept the bag off my back and allowed for air to circulate. The smaller top pocket had just enough spaces to organize smaller items but didn't waste space with mutiple, limited functionality pockets found on larger packs. A bonus was the removable waiststrap. Thanks Thule!

[Yes] Great daily backpack for short hikes! It is so stylish and comfortable, I don't feel any back strain. It has well-designed pockets. There is a small access pocket on shoulder strap, although phone doesn't fit there. Holders for your hiking poles. And this backpack is truly water-resistant.

[Zipper] Purchased this day hike bag to replace my backpack with no regrets. It got me down to Dripping Springs in the Grand Canyon and back. Light weight and easy fitting. Light weight but still rugged. I love it. Other hikers commented on it too.

[Zipper] I have never owned a 15L pack but wanted to try one for hikes where I didn't need to take much with me. It was so nice to find a pack that feels sturdy with great useful features, but isn't over engineered. I was skeptical that this would be too small but I am really happy with how it has worked out. It is a great trail companion, or personal carry on while flying. I can even drape a rain coat over top, as you would climbing rope, and cinch it down with the two side straps if I want. The side water bottle sleeves fit a Nalgene bottle. I am most happy with how wide it opens up. Some bucket style lids just don't open up enough, this one allows you to see everything comfortably and access it with ease. I will say that the narrower tapering of the pack isn't the best for fitting a laptop. I would suggest the size up (25L) if you are looking for something to use more for that intention. If you are looking for a bag that has great versatile function, is comfortable to carry, made from quality material, and fits your essentials, this is a great choice.
