System installers in search of a compact, flexible amplifier with Hi-Z and Lo-Z output capabilities should check out the Lab.Gruppen E 2:2, a 1 RU, two-channel 200W amplifier for mixed A/V installation applications. The E 2:2 utilizes IntelliDrive Energy Efficient Amplifier (IDEEA) technology to produce high power levels with very low distortion while drawing minimal mains current.

E-Series amplifiers also utilizes Lab.Gruppen's proprietary Rail Sensing Limiter (RSL) technology, which greatly reduces signal clipping to ensure high-quality audio output all the time. The amplifier is user-configurable for Hi-Z (70/100V) or Lo-Z. The RSL circuit senses rail voltage and optimizes each channel output for instantaneous load conditions. This allows for asymmetrical channel loading for optimized performance and efficiency. Total available output power can be allocated among the channels as required by the application. This makes it possible, for example, to drive a small sub on one channel and several 70/100V ceiling loudspeakers on the second channel.

Two-Channel Amplifier: 2 x 100W    IntelliDrive: 70/100V or 4, 8, 16 Ohms    Energy-Efficient Class-D Amplifier    Asymmetric Channel Loading    Comprehensive Circuit Protection    Rail Sense Limiter (RSL)    Includes Screw Terminal I/O Blocks    Includes Power Cord    Limited 5-Year Warranty

Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Any difference between this newly released one and previous one? Is the lens designed again

A: The ZEISS Milvus 2/135 ZE shares the same optical design as the 'classic' version of the lens, with additional improvements in the anti-reflective coatings, a weather sealed barrel and a focus ring that does not telescope, allowing for use with a follow focus gear when using the lens for motion capture.

Q: 2. Can I use a Canon Extender EF 2x III on this Zeiss Milvus 135mm lens?

A: The ZEISS Milvus 2/135 is a high performing, apochromatic lens. The addition of a 3rd party optic in the light path will have an influence on the image quality that cannot be predicted. If you need to extend the focal length of the lens, our recommendation is to rent the extender and test the performance prior to committing.

Q: 3. Does this work with the Z Cam E2 (micro 4/3)?

A: It does not. This is for the Flagship models like the E2-F6 only.

Q: 4. Is it only manual and auto

A: The Zeiss Milvus 35mm f/2 ZE lens is a manual-focus only lens, but its aperture can be electronically set, either manually (M, Av) or automatically (Tv, P, Auto).

Q: 5. Is this lens fully compatible with Nikon FE? (will it allow using it in A mode)

A: Using this lens in full manual mode on the Nikon FE would not be a problem. However, it may not work in Auto mode.

Q: 6. Could this fit the LUMIX bgh1?

A: It will not. This is for Z Cam Flagship models, not the Lumix BGH1.

Q: 7. Will this fit with the new E2 M4 which has the Flagship body ?

A: This is for PL and EF Lens Mount Cameras Only.

Q: 8. Will this work on the 2019 Mac Pro?

A: This card is compatible with the new Mac Pro Tower.

Q: 9. Are the lenses Auto Focus? Do they work good on nikonD500 ?

A: Manual focus only, which is a huge mistake in my opinion. I understand that Nikon and canon both were not open with Zeiss on their auto focus systems. On the other hand, the glass is some the best I have ever seen on a camera lens. and if you have the time to manual focus the shots you take you will not be disappointed. Unfortunately, I don't see many folks getting these lenses because of just that issue alone. especially with all the latest mirrorless camera bodies that have hit the market recently. The auto focus system is the only reason I personally upgraded to a z8 and I think it is fantastic.

Q: 10. Is it 1.7 stop or ND 1.7 ? (ND 1.7 is a little over 5 stops )

A: It's an electronic variable ND between 1.7 to 6.7 stops, in 1/3 increments.

[20 Kilohms ] Ive been chasing the sound I want since the 80’s. I finally found it in the Model 30. It needs some serious breaking in and then it just blossoms! I will search no further, just a lot of enjoying the music.

[1 RU] I bought the model 30 a few months ago. It looks even better in real life. I paired it with the new KLH Model 5 and it sounds amazing. So much detail and sparkle in the highs but never harsh, even on loud volumes. Im really happy with the purchase.

[1 W (Standby) ] I've owned my Marantz Model 30 integrated amplifier for about 2 years now and my opinion is absolutely definitely positive. I used this amplifier, ten hours a day, every day for months on end and it barely gets warm. I run B&W 805 Matrix speakers with a B&W PV-1 sub, connected with the high level connectors, to the amplifier's speaker terminals, as recommended by B&W.
This amplifier is, in my opinion, sensational. It's sound is detailed, rich, beautifully expressive, conveying every nuance of the music in a convincing and natural way. Any stops in the music are wonderfully black, it has tone controls, which can be switched in, if I want extra hefty when listening to some of my 70s rock where the bass is recorded a bit too quietly. I've also run B&W 802 Matrix S2, with this amp and it drives them with ease. Twice, stupidly, I have accidentally connected the speaker + and - incorrectly but the amp, just quietly shut itself down with no damage. I really love this amp and could not imagine anything better and would not, ever take the risk of trying to improve on it. I wish I could get people on the Hi-Fi forum I'm on, (What Hi-Fi) to consider a Marantz Model 30 instead of their usual choices because I don't think there's anything out there that approaches this amp at this price. It sounds like an amp that costs at least twice it's price. Absolutely Sensational.

[2] Hi there, I have to ask here since the Pre Amp chapter of the Model 30's Manual's is pretty simple. I'm connecting the input of my EAR HP4 Headphone Amplifier to Pre Amp Out output of Model 30 - no sound comes to EAR HP4 while in Pre Amp Input on the front panel with SACD on. Checked the cables: there is the sound, if connected SACD to Headphone amplifier directly, but not via Pre Amp output on Model 30. The EAR HP4 Manual clearly states, that the input should taken from the preamplifier. What am I doing wrong? Thank you!

[2] I don't normally write reviews because I'm usually too busy enjoying the products I buy. But this time things are different. I feel utterly compelled to tell the world about this gem... The Marantz Model 30 is a first-class integrated amplifier straight from the hand-crafting magicians in Japan. You can feel the heft of the engineering that went into this thing. From the heavy metal remote to the weighty chassis, the smooth moving knobs and the OLED porthole, this amplifier is spectacularly built... But lets not stop there. You buy it for the sound (mostly), right? - Well, let me tell you. The Marantz Model 30 sounds heavenly, I mean seriously heavenly. Rich, lush, smooth, balanced, controlled, deep, powerful and detailed. You can listen to this thing for hours and be completely entertained; never fatiguing. And the rich detailed powerful sound-stage is absolutely mind blowing... Just be sure to set up your stuff properly (speakers) and this amp will reward you by transporting you to another dimension. No really, it's that good! - My best audio purchase ever! :)

[50 dB] I bought the model 30 3 months ago along with the SACD30 and paired them with Klipsch Heresy IV speakers. I listen to a variety of music including classical, jazz, Blues , Bossa Nova and Rock. This system can put great detail into the sound and at high volume the Marantz shows no sign of distortion or stress.

[1 W (Standby) ] One of the challenges with working with the ZCAM for me has been staying under weight for gimbal use. This was an option to avoid using a front soft box on the camera as it would add extra weight. I still may get something like that for other filters, but this seemed to just replace the wight that was already there. It improved my shots, where I now don't have to close my aperture as much if at all. Worth the money I think. It made me love the ZCAM even more.
