The Aquatica SURVEYOR Moisture Alarm for Nikon D600from Aquatica SURVEYOR Moisture Alarm for Nikon D600offers an added level of protection to the underwater photographer. The SURVEYOR circuitry integrates a water detection function that remains on constant duty when a battery is inserted. Should the slightest amount of water make contact with the sensor probes, it will trigger an alarm using both an audible signal and a rapidly flashing red LED to visually attract your attention. Adding the vacuum pump and pressure valve to your housing will make it possible, by creating a vacuum inside the housing, to fully test its sealing integrity. Once the easy-to-follow procedure is completed, a green LED blinking every five seconds will inform you that your SURVEYOR system is monitoring your camera housing and you're ready to dive. In the event that sand, hair, or other foreign matter would compromise the housing sealing integrity, the SURVEYOR warns you with both an audible signal and a rapidly flashing red LED signal.

This kit includes the moisture and vacuum sensor circuit, a pressure valve with retaining nut, a vacuum pump, mounting hardware, a container of O-ring lubricant, and a CR2032 battery.

Q: 1. how do you assign the AE-L/AF-L on the D610 menu?

A: It's under the Custom Menu Setting F9.

Q: 2. Will the Manfrotto 123 Super Boom Pivot Clamp fit this boom?

A: No, that product has its own mounting points (we call them "receivers") for a boom and for attaching to a stand. This product, the Avenger D600CB Mini Boom (Black) (BH# AVD600CB), will attach to a C stand or other heavy duty light stand that has a 5/8" stud on top. Another name for a 5/8" stud is a "baby pin."

Q: 3. Will an Arca-Swiss style camera plate designed specifically for the Nikon MB-D14 fit the same way on this grip? That is, are the bottom contours of this grip exactly the same as the MB-D14?

A: No unfortunately. The grips are different enough in design that the plates/brackets designed for the MB-D14 would not fit onto this Vello grip properly.

Q: 4. Can it be used with Avenger Roller Stand 12 with Folding Base?

A: Yes, it will fit.

Q: 5. So, does the grip have to be removed in order to change the battery that is in the camera?

A: Yes the grip does need to be removed to take the battery out of the camera.

Q: 6. What country is this made in?

A: The country of origin for this item is Italy.

Q: 7. What's the closed length, will this fit in a bag with 48 interior?

A: Hi JamesThe closed length is 49 but you can unscrew and remove the counterweight hook on the end which brings the length to 47 . That's how I carry it. Hope this answer helps.

Q: 8. *Black or chrome?

A: Which do you prefer? Because that's what it's going to come down to.Chrome may reflect light back into a set. Though I've yet to see that happen.Black possibly could retain more heat is used outdoors.Chrome generally is easier to see on a dark set.Black might be considered cooler looking than chrome. My chrome D600 works perfectly well with my decades old C-stands. So yeah, pick the one you like.

Q: 9. How many frames per second does the D610 shoot with and without the Vello BG-N10 Battery Grip?

A: It would still be the same as without the battery grip.

Q: 10. Work with Nikon z5?

A: The Vello BG-N10 Battery Grip for Nikon D600 & D610 is incompatible with the Nikon Z5 Mirrorless Camera. Instead, get the Vello BG-N21 Battery Grip for Nikon Z 5, Z 6, Z 6 II, Z 7, and Z 7 II Mirrorless Camera, BH #VEBGN21.

[1x CR2032] I have other Vello products and have been impressed by the quality of them. The battery grip (BG-N10) for the D600 is no exception! You just can't go wrong with it especially at its price. The fit is just right. It doesn't wiggle. Now, I'll be honest and say I mainly bought the grip so the D600 would feel a lot more comfortable holding (and it is!) since I have somewhat large hands. It's the same reason I got a grip for the D7000, but with a genuine Nikon grip. My only gripe (minor to me) is with the space on the grip that holds the rubber contact cover of the D600. You have to force the cover down and even then, it doesn't sit right. It doesn't lay flat like how it does with the Nikon grip for my D7000.

[1x CR2032] My wife and I purchased a D600 about 5 months ago and I was adamant about getting the MB-D14 Nikon grip for it which we did. Since then, we purchased another D600 and another lense so we wanted to save some cash if possible, so we decided to give the Vello BG-N10 a try. It compares very well to the Nikon version. It fits very snug, but has a little more flex than the Nikon version, however, I stress LITTLE. There is no spacing between the body and the grip as others have indicated, and all the buttons function as needed. The front command dial is a bit touchy however, and if I turn it too fast, it may skip around aperature settings a bit, however, I noticed that if I just turn it at a slower pace, there are no problems. The battery fits nice and snug in the compartment and the camera body recongnized the battery presence right away. The feel is of course, not quite as robust as the Nikon version, but please keep in mind, the Nikon version is $200 plus more, so that is a small price to pay. So if your on the fence and are hessitant with going with a third party product, I'd definately give it a shot, I don't think you'll be disappointed. As for the rating, in terms of quality, I would give it 4 1/2 stars, however, as stated previously, because it is significantly less in price than the Nikon version, I gave it 5.

[1x CR2032] Excellent value as compared to the Nikon version at a fraction of the cost. My main points of concern were construction and button response and I am quite pleased. The focal point control pad in portrait mode can be a bit sensitive though.

[1x CR2032] This video is really LONG! But, it doesn't drag! Not only did I learn about the buttons on my camera and how to use it, I learned how to take pretty good pictures! it came promptly, and was better than I expected! like i Said, it was long but well worth my time and money. I definitely learned a lot more than I would have if i tried to figure it out myself. Great purchase and great video!

[1x CR2032] I have the Nikon Battery Grip for My D7000 and when I bought my D600 I wanted the Nikon Grip for that as well. The $ plus price tag was a little higher than what I wanted to pay after the camera purchase so I began investigating the aftermarket versions of the D600 battery grips. The Vello consistantly came up as being the most highly rated of the group. The D7000 grip (Nikon) always had a bit of play when attached however nothing like that was experienced in attaching the Vello to the D600. The D600 recognized the additional battery right away. The fit and finish of the grip are very close to the Nikon version. I am very pleased with the grip and now I have additional dollars to invest in that 28-300 lens that I wanted!

[1x CR2032] I own a Nikon battery grip for my D7000 and wanted one for the D600. The price was higher than I wanted to spend so I thought I would try something different. I've been quite satisfied with other Vello products in the past so I thought I'd give it a try. Boy was I suprised when I saw this Vello grip. Except for size, I can't really tell it apart from the Nikon grip. It appears to be a dead ringer and fits the D600 perfectly! For the price, I don't know how they did it. This is a keeper for sure.
