A: I would not recommend that, as the power output may me too great and damage your camera. The DigitalFoto Solution Limited USB-C to Canon LP-E6 Dummy Battery with PD Fast Charging is designed to work with USB-C PD power supplies, and as such, the PD of the power supply would regulate the voltage, so we can not say with any certainty that if you were to use a 12V power source that the battery would regulate the voltage to the correct power leve for the camera.

A: Yes this should be able to power an external monitor such as the SmallHD 502. Just ensure that the power block/source you use has the proper voltage output to power your monitor.

A: Bescor has not listed yet what is compatible with the Bescor Panasonic Style DMWBK22 Dummy Battery with USB-C Input Connector Kit. Technically it should.

A: Hello, The dummy battery is just that: a piece of plastic with contacts to get power to the camera: the voltage conversion and transforming take place in the transformer part of the device. If I understand properly, the plastic battery only serves as an adapter get power into the camera. The device works perfectly, supplying power to our Canon 7D via a 110volt AC outlet.

Q: 8. What is the output voltage of this adapter ? My 5DM3 can only take 8.0V DC instead of the 9.0V DC of the R5 mentioned in another question.

A: The output voltage is 8V as per the manufacturer.

It doesn't fit! I'm sure this adapter is wonderful -- that's why I gave it five stars. But I don't know how good it is by way of any actual experience because the plug doesn't fit the CORE SWX POWERBASE EDGE battery I purchased it for! The adapter has the correct plug TYPE -- just the wrong size. I blame CORE SWX for the mix up. I can't find any documentation that tells me the POWERBASE EDGE battery system uses a non-standard plug size for this application. I'm exchanging this adapter for a B&H #COPBECLPE6. Fingers crossed that adapter works on my new battery! 5

I do a lot of film and I use the black magic 6K pocket cinema and I have the black magic monitor that goes along with it This was a great way for me to power my monitor to keep up with my camera. I was a little apprehensive at first but it really works it’s well-built and fits snugly in the battery compartment. I would recommend this to anybody that’s either running gun or If you have a v-mount battery looking for a great way to power two devices. 5

As a surfer Dad, hours on shore shooting videos of my Son, eats batteries like popcorn. The only solution is a power bank. Having lost all our possessions 8/8 due to the Lahaina fire it took some time to put it back together. Thank God my family is unharmed and that B&H carries thisvv bc elusive item. Works perfectly. Using as a dummy battery for an edelkrone SliderONE PRO v2. Saves having to switch batteries and re-pair the system every other hour. USB-c is a little inconvenient until more chargers have usb-c instead of USB-A, but my Galaxy and macbook pro chargers both work for powering it. 5

I bought this dummy battery for my Canon %D Mark IV. I shoot a lot of timelapses and was stuck with short ones due to battery exhaustion. This dummy batter is a game changer! I bought the required type of power bank and I did a 7 hour timelapse with zero problems. Now the camera does ask a few questions for a work around before it will work, but other than that, it's a gem! I ordered another one for my 6D Mark II so I can shoot time lapses at a time. 5

This power supply works well with my Canon 6D for studio shooting all day long without worrying about batteries. It should work with any Canon camera that takes a LP-E6 battery. Quality wise, it seems a little light weight, but works great for the price. 5
