[0.06 lb] These battery packs are small compared to previous Canon models and I'd read numerous reviews about how the camera I just purchased could only take about 200 shots on one charge. So, I wanted to buy two more of these to put in my camera case as it's exactly what I needed and I trust these Canon branded batteries as Canon is the only brand of camera equipment I've been using for literally decades. For me, the Canon brand has held up for all that time. 5

[Canon NB-13L] I buy the replacement battery that's the same brand as the camera came with. That way I know that it will be reliable and have the most shots available of any battery that would work. I've had this type of Canon battery for 4 years. The only reason I had to replace my backup battery was that I lost the other one. I expect my new battery to last a long time and work well like the original one did. 5

[2.4 x 2.3 x 1"] After 4 years, thousands of photos and hundreds of charge - discharge cycles my original NB-13L battery was declining in capacity and needed replaced. Maybe I could have saved by buying a 3rd party battery but I figured the premium price over 4 years comes to about $5 per year and I can afford that for the premium Canon brand. 5
