Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Can the middle divider be removed to make a top to bottom pass through? I want to put an R3 + 300 2.8 II EF lens.

A: Yes, the Holdland Original Backpack (Graphite, 26L) middle divider is removable so that you can place a long lens from top to bottom of the bag.

Q: 2. Does it come with a rain cover ? If not can I purchase one?

A: Yes, the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack does include a rain cover in the box.

Q: 3. Will back back strong enough to hold 150-600mm with other lens while opened as if you are changing lens?

A: The Mindshift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack would be strong enough to hold a 150-600mm along while switching it out for other lenses.

Q: 4. Does the rain cover fully protect under extended downpour conditions, or is it just for short-term emergency use until you can get somewhere dry?

A: Fortunately, the rain pouch hasn't moved or been taken out of its spot in the backpack since its purchase. Given the material the backpack is made of and the rain cover, I suspect you'd have to drop it in the lake for any damage to occur.

Q: 5. Will this bag fit the Olympus OM 1 mk2 with the 150-400 f4.5 lens?

A: The MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack (Charcoal) interior dimensions are 19.3 x 10.2 x 5.9". The length of the OM SYSTEM OM-1 Mark II Mirrorless Camera and the OM SYSTEM M. Zuiko 150-400mm f/4.5 TC 1.25 IS PRO Lens attached with a lens hood in reverse is 15.5”; therefore, the camera and lens will fit perfectly in this backpack.

Q: 6. Will this gear fit:Canon 5DIII w/RRS L-Plate & 100-400 lens attachedTamron 70-200 f/2.8Canon 24-105Rokinon 14mmCanon 430 EXII FlashND Filter WalletBattery/CF Card Wallet/Shutter Release Cable/AA Battery WalletI'll attach my tripod to the side along with soft water bottle to other side. Hope that won't be too heavy for me hiking this Spring (68 year old female)?

A: I took this bag on a recent trip holding my Canon 6D with an L-bracket, Canon 24-105mm, Canon 18-35mm, Canon 70-200mm and Canon 50mm lens, plus a wallet with Lee filters, batteries, flash-cards etc, and separate LCDVF eye-piece. I have also packed it with my Sigma 150-600mm lens, Canon 24-105 mm and Canon 70-200mm - left out the 18-35mm and 50mm, plus most of the above extras. There is also room in for stuffing in snacks and extra layers, plus I carried a water bottle. Saying that, it is heavy packed with all that gear!

Q: 7. does this backpack come standard with a rain cover?

A: It does come with a rain cover in a small pouch. Its not attached, so you will need to carry inside the bag. Its probably 3 x 5 x 1 inch thick, but you can compress it.

Q: 8. I am 5 feet tall. But I need a lot of space to carry my camera, lenses, and filters as well as stuff a rain jacket in a pocket. Would this work for me or is it too big for someone short?

A: I am a 5'1 woman using this bag this passed summer hiking at Glacier National Park with two cameras and other accessories for 15 miles over 8 hours and it works for me. I use the waist trap buckle around my waist to support the weight off my back and it helps a lot. What I like the most is it fit under the airline seat! i hope this information help.

Q: 9. can this store a ronin S, DSLR, lens and small hard drive?

A: With a bit of creative configuration, you should be able to get a Ronin S in the BackLight 26L along with a camera and lens. Good news is, every divider in the BackLight 26L can be removed, providing many ways to layout the bag to fit your personal needs.

Q: 10. Will a Canon R7 with 100-500 lens attached fit in this bag?

A: Yes, the Canon EOS R7 Mirrorless Camera with the Canon RF 100-500mm f/4.5-7.1 L IS USM Lens attached with comfortably fit in the MindShift Gear BackLight 26L Backpack.

[Yes] For the past few months I've been looking for a "work backpack". I'm super picky and need things JUST RIGHT. The Enroute is perfect. A slim design yet lots of room! Love the hard pocket as well. Highly recommend.

[Green] After impressive 8 years of daily usage including plenty of travel my beloved Thule Backback was finished. Replaced it with a new Thule EnRoute and all I can say so far is that it is an improvement all around. None of which I really expected as the prior was already very well done. The EnRoute seems also bit more robust, so time will show it the 8 years can be beaten.

[2.235 lb] I was in the market for a new backpack after my last Thule (which lasted 10 years of school and travel) was retired. I tried two other brands which were great but I was missing the organizational pockets. I found that I really need lots of pockets of different sizes for my daily work bag and that EnRoute was the perfect bag for me. I tried the other 2 brands for a week each, but compared to a week with the EnRoute it was far and away the winner. I know this brand is worth the money and will last long, I don’t know why I ever tried to find a replacement for my last Thule bag outside of this brand!

[2.235 lb] I travel a lot and wanted something that was comfortable to carry, like a back pack, that would contain my laptop and ipad, have pockets for other items so I could avoid taking my purse, holds my sunglasses, waterbottle, etc. This is it. Love the bag

[Yes] I've used the En Route a few times. It's a combination laptop bag and on the go diaper bag. Perfect with the two compartments I can separate my belongings well. Handy compartments and pockets. I had an issue with my first order of the En Route and Thule was just amazing at handling the exchange for a new item. I was really impressed with the after service and how well they dealt with my case.

[Zipper] I purchased this to use on work trips and it's been a great add. Fits a 15" laptop and all other work accessories with room to spare. Especially like front compartment to also carry personal items that can't fit in the carry-on. The strap to attach to a roller bag is much appreciated as well.

[Yes] After weeks of research, I chose this bag as a replacement for my old Solo backpack that I had for nearly 8 years. After about two weeks of use it has shown its usefulness and resilience during my daily commute. The storage capability is nearly perfect for what I bring daily. Here’s to another 8+ years of use!

[Yes] Easy to use organization for a work/life bag. Simple clean style makes it easy for the office. The ‘life’ section is great for gym clothes, lunchbox, etc. Very comfortable to wear also. Only complaint (very small) is I wish the ‘Work’ section of the pack unzipped a little further to allow a bigger opening for items at the bottom. This is a very small compliant and would encourage anyone who needs a work/life bag with low key appearances to buy one.

[Green] I have been using the Thule EnRoute now for a coupe of weeks and really like it. I use it for commuting to work so it holds my ipad pro, notebooks, book and occasionally my lunch with plenty of room. I have a Contigo water bottle and that is no problem as well. Plenty of little compartments so for an overnight it held a change of clothes as well as toiletries. Its big but not too big. Easy to take on and off and the straps seem to be in exactly the right spot.
