The L39 Mount Lens 35-135mm to Leica M Camera 6-Bit Lens Mount Adapter from Metabones allows an L39 Mount 35-135mm lens to be attached to Leica M cameras. The appropriate 35-135mm rangefinder frame lines are activated by the adapter. A: No this adapter will not mount any Canon lens onto a Sony E mount camera. It will only work with lenses that are made to mount on Leica bodies so those are Leica lenses or Carl Zeiss lenses with the Leica mount.

[0.12 lb] The adapter is well-made and nicely finished. Fit on the lens and camera is perfect. The six bit coding does not register on my M 10 but none of my other lenses are coded either and that really does not matter to me. I select the lenses individually. 5

[0.12 lb] Remember, this adapter is for screw mount lenses. Screw mount lenses were NEVER six-bit coded. Mine brings up the 35mm frame lines in the viewfinder. That being said, I use it with a Voightlander f:5.6 12mm lens. I find that the setting for an older F:2 35mm Summicron works well. 5

[Leica M] There are a few different options for M to L adapters, the TT artisans mount being the cheapest of the lot, and the Leica mount being absurdly expensive. This metabones option was right in the middle. It is built like a brick, I get no play from body or lens, and the full metal build can confidently hold anything you throw at it. I paired it with the TT artisans 50 1.4 for a great outcome. 5

[Leica M] Used it on a Voigtlander Color-Heliar 75/2.5 MC L39 lens while waiting for a Voigtlander Ultron 75/1.9 MC VM lens. Didn't use the six-bit coding option (101101), but I could have. (Both lenses were surprisingly close in rendering and composition, although the older lens was slightly more telephoto, and the newer one is slightly more than a half-stop faster.) Adapter recommended. 5

[0.12 lb] Worth every penny. Solid fit. Works smoothly with the Voigtlander 35mm M mount. I use it with my Leica CL Plus the combined price( lens plus adapter) will not cause you to skip a mortgage payment if intent on owning a Leica 35mm, new or used. Only wish it came with caps for both ends. 5
