Q: 1. a c mount 25mm lens will it be still a 25mm on 4/3? thank yoz for your help

A: The C cine mount is commonly used on 16mm movie cameras, closed-circuit television cameras and microscope phototubes. C-mount says very little about the lens and its intended usage, so for a MFT camera, you will want to make sure the lens was designed for 16mm or better Super 16mm film. The MFT sensor is slightly larger than a Super 16mm film frame (17.30x13 vs 12.52x7.41) so you will see some to significant image fall off in the frame corners. Because a C-mount lens is made for smaller formats than MFT, there is no crop factor. A 25mm C-mount lens will remain a 25mm lens on a Micro 4/3 camera.

Q: 2. How this adapter work with GH4 Lumix?

A: yes. magnificent workmanship compared to cheaper brands plus infinity focus on switar 10f16.

Q: 3. Does this adapter also work with F mount lenses?

A: Yes, it does. Its high quality, and can be used with any Nikon F lens. Good shopping

Q: 4. I have a 12-120 Angenieux lens for an old Arri S 16mm camera. I tried the lens with a cheap adapter and got vignetting though out the focal length range. Would this adapter work with my GH5? I realize it would vignette at 12mm.

A: I tried cheap and expensive adapters for the Gh5 the angenieux zoom lenses rear element is too small for The GH5. But they do work with the black magic pocket and digital holes.

Q: 5. Is this arriflex standard? or bayonet?

A: The Metabones Arriflex Lens to Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount Adapter will accept the standard Arriflex mount, and will not accept Arriflex bayonet or PL mount.

Q: 6. Can you please tell me if this adapter will work for my Angenieux 12-120mm type 10x12 B lens? It has a specific mount that I am unsure of.

A: There are three Arriflex mounts - original (standard), cylindrical with a groove around the mount at the back; bayonet - same diameter as standard but has two lugs that lock into the lens port on the camera; and Positive Lock (PL) -- the most secure. A standard lens mount will fit in a bayonet mount (there may be locking problems depending on the lens port) but not the other way around. You need a PL adapter to use either standard or bayonet on a PL-port camera. If your zoom has an Arri standard mount, it will fit into the Metabones adapter to be used on an MFT fitted camera. However, the adapter does not change the capabilities of the lens. Most 12-120 zooms were made for regular 16mm film shooting. They do not cover Super-16 film or same size digital sensors (there is some vignetting in the corners of the image). Hope this is helpful in identifying your lens mount and answers your question about the MFT adapter.

Q: 7. Will this work with a GH5?

A: Yes,it will work with any M43 camera. However, you will have to set the aperture and focus manually. Focusing with focus peaking is easy.

Q: 8. Will this adapter work with the BMPCC?

A: Yes

Q: 9. Can i use a Panchro lens with a bmpcc 4k with this adapter?

A: Yes Panchro lens with PL mount

Q: 10. How much does the adapter weigh?

A: The Arriflex Standard Lens to Micro Four Thirds Lens Mount Adapter weighs 133g (4.69 oz).

[0.2 lb] This allows me to use my collection of old Nikon manual lenses as well as my new Nikon G lenses on my Panasonic GH4. My auto lenses however are reduced to manual operation only. Not so great for fast action photos or video. Works great for a video interview or something that doesn't move in and out of focus. The idea is to use the lenses at wide open when possible. With the GH4 my nikon 70 to 200 mm 2.8 doubles the focal length effectively. One problem with the GH4 is the tripod mount doesn't clear the panasonic YAHG attachment, but it can be easily removed.

[Aluminum] I previously bought the Fotodiox Pro Rollei 35 to MFT lens mount adapter, to adapt my Rollei macro and telephoto lenses to my Panasonic Lumix GX7. It worked fine with the lenses, but would NOT fit my Rollei bellows unit or extension tubes. Logically, if it fits the lenses, it should fit the bellows and tubes, but it doesn't. I have no idea why, nor did B&H or Fotodiox when I contacted them with the problem. I then asked B&H if the Metabones unit might be more accessory-compatible, but they had no idea, which was perfectly understandable considering the oddball nature of the problem. In the spirit of you never know 'till you try, I went ahead and ordered the Metabones unit. I considered returning the Fotodiox adapter, but, not knowing if the Metabones adapter would be any better, I reluctantly decided to keep the Fotodiox one. The happy ending is that the Metabones adapter works perfectly with every lens and accessory (I still don't what the difference is, but it's real). It also has a (removeable) Arca-Swiss-type quick-release foot that eliminates a lot of strain on the MFT camera's lens mount from the larger, heavier Rollei lenses, especially the long telephotos. The only improvement I could suggest would be to make the foot's stalk about a quarter-inch taller. That would allow clearance for any quick-release camera plate that you might have mounted on your camera (I use an Arca-type L-bracket on my GX7). Anyway, problem solved, great product!

[Aluminum] Used the PL mount to turn a GH5S into a B-Camera next to an Arri Alexa Mini. The mount is solid as a rock and worked perfectly.

[Aluminum] I purchased the adapter to use a Tamron 150-600 lens on my Olympus EM-1. The adapter fits camera and lens securely and allows changing aperture settings. I'm satisfied with the adapter.

[0.2 lb] Very well made product. On first installation on the camera body, Lumix GX9, it was very tight. After a couple of times off it has become quite a snug fit, as it should be. Very happy with the construction.

[0.2 lb] Well built, zero wiggle at either end, aperture control well damped.

Work's fine with my Nikon AF-S lens (aperture and manual focus), but does not work with my Nikon AF-P (manual focus) lens. I contacted metabones to find out the reason but no response for 4 weeks now, they say on their website they wont respond to questions which they have on their faq, but couldn't find anywhere indicating non compatibility with Nikon AF-P (manual focus). After speaking with bandhphoto they confirmed the new af-p lens don't work with this adapter, so I asked BandHPhoto to update their description so other customer could be made aware of this but doesn't look like they have, hence why im writing this review.

Not a deal breaker, i only have 1 af-p lens, everything else is af-s.
