Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. What is the weight?

A: 12.15 ounces or 344 grams

Q: 2. What is the diameter of the base when the legs are opened?

A: The Oben TT-300 Tabletop Tripod has about an 11 inch diameter with the legs opened.

Q: 3. Can this tripod be used as handle for selfies/vlogs?

A: Yup it works i tried after you asked. you do have to use the 2 or 10 second timer

Q: 4. Can this unit handle a Nikon D 90, or 7000 without tripping or falling over?

A: I just own the D500. Yes it can handle the d500 + the heavy Nikon 24-70 provided you set it up properly i.e. one leg in the direction of the lens

Q: 5. How long is each leg of the tripod?

A: Each leg is 4 3/8 inches long.

Q: 6. is the screw in the base also 1/4-20? I may want to attach a spotting scope to the base and not use the ball head. The scope is threaded for 1/4-20

A: It is 1/4-20, and it has a 3/8 thread adapter on it to fit the ball head.

Q: 7. Does anyone know if this tripod will support a Nikon D-7100 with an 85mm macro lens with extension tube for micro shots?

A: It can support the D7100 with an 85mm macro lens and extension tubes but it will not balance it if you take your hands off the camera. I would only recommend that tripod as a stabilizing devise, I would not recommend it for hands free shooting.

Q: 8. Can the column be unscrewed from the base?

A: Yes to both questions Brian. The center shaft is about 88 mm long with ball attachment and bottom o-ring cushioned stopper removed by easily unscrewing one or both. A very good utility travel tripod for a full size SLR.

Q: 9. Looking for tripod to take on my kayak and to do macro -I have mono pod w Oben quick release plate -can I use it on this as well ?

A: Hi, Pretty courageous move to take your camera on a kayak, hats off to you. I purchased the Oben TT-200 to use with a Leica D LUX 6, the ballhead provided with the TT 200 mounts to any camera body that supports the 1/4 screw mount. Your Oben quick release plate will not adapt to the TT 200 ballhead. However, you can remove your monopods bullhead and mount it to the TT 200 pole. Thats the way youll be able to use your quick release feature and plate. Happy Kayaking Thumbs upKind Regards Srecko

Q: 10. Is the ball head removable, as it is on the TT-100?

A: The ball head on the Oben TT-50 Table Top Tripod is not removable.

[Ball Head] This is a neat little tripod. Made of all aluminum, it feels strong. It's great for outdoor shots where you need to get very low. The spikes on the bottom make it easy to sink in the ground, which is very helpful. And having it made of metal really comes in handy when pushing it in the ground, as it sliced right through the dirt and did not feel like it would break. It is also very functional as a table-top tripod. The legs spread very wide making the set-up sturdy. The specs say it holds 2.2 pounds, but as you can see from the pics it had no problem handling my Canon 5d with lens. I'm impressed how well it did. It is also very light, meaning it's good if you want to hold a camera handheld or in a selfie position. If you've tried to do this with a heavier table-top tripod, you know how any added weight makes it difficult. So this was effective for that set-up. Overall, I see this as a nice addition to my gear. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

[Ball Head] These excellent little tripods are indispensable, beautifully made, stronger than expected! I have occasionally stressed their load-carrying capability (within reasonable limits) and they have always survived well. I own several and would recommend these versatile little tripods heartily!

[Aluminum] Must have for any kind of interviewing. I do a lot of interviewing in my video work and taking pictures of people across tables or of there products is much easier with a table top tripod.

[Spiked] With its' small size and light weight, the Oben Tabletop can be a constant companion on photography adventures. I use mine primarily for camera support or course, but also using it slows me down enough so that I pay more attention to picture composition. It works.
