[Yes] It's not too bulky, fit's my 16in macbook pro and the quality is great. I only wish that it would have some sort of different lock mechanism for the side access pockets in case i'd like to travel with it without a camera and i'd be concerned about thieves accessing the sides in congested areas like train stations or airports. but besides that i really like it.

[Zipper] This backpack is great for those who like to take a DSLR and a few lenses as well as a travel tripod. Laptop/Ipad spot is an added bonus.
Plenty of compartments for your accessories. This is an extremely well constructed piece. You can’t go wrong if you purchase this. Lowpro’s are great to carry your valuable gear.

[Yes] While I have had this backpack for only a short time, I can attest to its exceptional quality. There are storage pockets everywhere, and they all have superior access. The extra padding is welcome, given that other backpacks are less forgiving regarding equipment protection. The shoulder straps are in the correct position for comfort and are easily adjusted. The interior adjustable compartmentalization is excellent. You can configure everything to precisely what is needed. The Velco is quite strong, and dividers should withstand just about anything. The backpack is a bit heavy, but strength comes with a price, and I want my equipment to be safe. The attached photo shows my carbon fiber Sirui tripod in place and some sand from today's trip to the beach.

[Zipper] I've been looking for the 'perfect' camera bag for a couple of years to replace one that is too small for the gear I've accumulated. I was being drawn to a couple of other well known brands but held off because they just didn't seem to fill the bill for me.

But when I discovered the Lowepro Protactic 450 AW II, I knew almost immediately that it was exactly what I was looking for. The flexibility is excellent. (In fact, that might be the only drawback - there are so many ways to configure this bag that it's hard to decide on the best layout.) But changing layouts is easy.

Some reviewers have criticized the lack of dedicated pockets but that was my major dissatisfaction with my old bag - a large pocket that wasn't quite big enough for a camera but too big for the accessories I had. I'm perfectly fine with putting smaller accessories in a small bag (one actually comes with this backpack) and storing them in a divider pocket just as I do a lens or camera body.

I've only had this backpack a couple of weeks but I don't have any hesitation that I made the right choice in getting it.

[Universal] I purchased the Lowepro ProTactic 350 backpack as a day bag. Pack the camera, a couple of lenses, and hit the road. I thought it was a good plan. However, I just did a complete swap from a Canon EF system to a Canon RF mirrorless system. The RF lenses are larger than the EF lenses. The camera is now both photos and movies, requiring more support, and in my case, a SmallRig Cage. The RF camera is now too large for the trap door on the top of the Lowepro ProTactic 350 backpack. The lenses fit, but you have to gut the backpack and redesign the partitions. After you've done that, there is very little room left for filters, microphones, spare batteries, and other support items. Out of curiosity, I took the RF mirrorless equipment out and inserted my old EF DSLR, and it fit great! This is a good size for an EF DSLR day bag, but it is not suitable for an RF system. I am switching to the larger Lowepro ProTactic 450 backpack (my second 450), known to be a good fit. I'm still giving the bag a solid rating because the product description states DSLR, and for that, it's well suited.

[Yes] The capacity is great and the ability to completely design the internal panels is as well. I can carry my fully assembled camera standard 800 lens with 1.4 multiplier all attached. I can easily access it through the top opening. Down the sides there's room for additional lenses and equipment. I can go into the field everything from macro to telephoto. Outside ribs allow for attaching most anything. I have more gear than what I need, and I can carry it all with me.
