Q: 1. I have a approximately 2003 version of the Celestron CGE 1100 with computerized mount. Will the Esprit 80 mm scope fit onto this mount?

A: Unfortunately your mount will not work with this scope. You would need a Altazimuth Mount. A nice Motorized Mount you could do is the Sky-Watcher AllView Mount. Website link: http://bhpho.to/1HZzX1D

Q: 2. In your preview of the telescope were four pictures of what the telescope sees. What do I need to do to see things that clear. What do I need to be able to photograph what I see thru the telescope eyepiece?

A: Pictures like the ones you see are taken with camera attached directly to the Optical Tube Assembly (the telescope without diagonal or eyepiece). To do this with the EVO72, these are the devices you would need: BH# SKE72EDRCA, SKFRFP80 and the correct SkyWatcher M48 adapter for either Nikon, Canon or Sony E mount camera.

Q: 3. Can you explain how this would mount on a camera? What adapters would be needed for a Nikon D3500? What stand is recommended .

A: You woud need the Sky-Watcher 0.85x Focal Reducer/Corrector for ED80 Telescope BH #SKFRFP80 • MFR #S20200 to attach to the scope and a Celestron T-Ring for Nikon F-Mount Cameras BH #CETRN • MFR #93402 to attach to your camera body. Those (2) pieces will now screw together. A manual tripod and mount example would be the Explore Scientific FirstLight EXOS Nano Mount with ST1 Tripod BH #EXFLENEQ3M • MFR #FL-EXOSNANOT1-00

Q: 5. what does it weigh?

A: The Sky-Watcher Evolux 82 ED APO 82mm f/6.45 Refractor Telescope (OTA Only) weighs 6.5 lbs.

Q: 6. Is it f/5.5 before or after the included field flattener?

A: f/ 5.5 is always a consent.

Q: 7. ALL sites say the Esprit came with a 3 focuser, but B&H describe the focuser as been a 2 . which is correct? 2 or 3 ?

A: The focuser is 3.4 inches. The eyepiece size it uses is 2 inches.

Q: 8. Can I use multiple filters like IR cut filter, light pollution filter at the same time with this scope for astrophotogrphy?.

A: You might get some vignetting or stacking effect with using these filters at the same time. You can try it and see. It's really trial and error.

Q: 9. What do I need to use a Nikon 5100 with this telescope?

A: You will need the Sky-Watcher S20301 M48 Camera Adaptor for Nikon BH #SKCAN • MFR #S20301 https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/759388-REG/Sky_Watcher_S20301_S20301_Camera_Adaptor_for.html

Q: 10. I saw other sites which lists the complete iterms included in this SW package, but not here. So can someone here list all of the item included here? like aluminum box, the 2" - 1.25" eyepiece adaptors, etc, all that?

A: If you look at the right side of the page, you will see a what's in the box listing; In the Box Sky-Watcher Esprit ED APO 100mm f/5.5 Refractor Telescope Canon 48mm T-Ring Photo Adapter Tube Rings with CGE-Style Dovetail Bar Aluminum Foam-Lined Carrying Case Limited 2-Year Warranty

[13.845 lb] Its a good telescope for beginners. The materials are a bit of low-quality, but thats what you pay for. The finderscope is made of cheap plastic, but it did great job finding sky objects. Overall its nice to start this hobby with this good telescope.

[f/6.5] After some research and talking to other owners, I went ahead and bought this scope. It's an excellent scope with sharp images from edge to edge and a very nice and smooth focuser. This is a very complete package. Mine came with: a nice hard case, field flattener (essential for imaging), a 48mm Canon T-ring, and a 2 90 degree diagonal with an adapter for 1.25 eyepieces, a 50mm finder scope with diagonal and a tube rings with dovetail bar. Many competitors don't include these accessories and you have purchase them separately. I mostly use the scope for deep sky astrophotography.

I wish it came with a top plate for mounting a guide scope.

[13.845 lb] As the years go by, lugging the large scopes out and doing all the set-up and aligning, it's refreshing to be able to grab my already assembled scope put it on the deck and be viewing in a matter of minutes.
At f/5 it takes a pretty fast picture.

[Dovetail] After much review and consternation concerning best 1st 'scopes for amateur astrophotography I landed on this doublet and have been very pleased with its lightness, build quality, and output. After putting in some effort to find the right adapters I have matched it with my Sony crop sensor cams (a modified a6000 and an a6300) and am pleased with the results with this budget gem. I found B&H to be the best place site to buy it from .

[13.845 lb] I received this Evostar 72mm ED APO a few weeks ago and I already have taken photos of Andromeda Galaxy that were better than any before. Stars were well shaped and no color fringing noticed at all. Really quality glass lens and the entire unit is well made.
Looking forward to buying a larger version later on in the year.
B&H is the best.

[f/6.5] This scope offers excellent image quality and light gathering power with a relatively light weight. I can't see any color fringes on stars. Coma is well corrected by the included flattener, but it is visible in the corners of the frame. Mechanical quality is very good. The case is very sturdy and offers good protection, but it if also fairly heavy.

I've had the Esprit 120 for about a month now and I'm already considering getting the Esprit 80 as well.

[13.845 lb] I have a Celestron C6R and enjoy that scope as a cheap BIG refractor.

This scope with the ED glass is a wonderful upgrade, yes it costs much more than my C6R did but the views are amazing.

[Dovetail] *Preliminary review*
Just received this OTA three days ago. Large focuser is robust, although I do no astrophotography, it appears as though it will support any imaging train with ease. Supplied rings and dovetail plate well-suited for this size scope, but I will get a longer dovetail plate for easier balancing. Sky conditions allowed a brief window to star test it on Polaris. Perfect pattern inside and outside of focus. Will add more in due course...

[f/6.5] First, I really don't know where to start. I've only had this scope out a few times due to weather conditions, but it definitely doesn't disappoint! All of the specs, pros and cons are available scattered across the web, but in my novice opinion the scope truly is a Beauty in the Beast. The fit and finish; included accessories like the hard travel case on wheels (you will need the wheels), field flattener, mounting rings, diagonal and spotting scope are all typical Sky Watcher. There is no included eyepiece. I have three Sky Watcher mounts and they all perform flawlessly. All I needed to purchase was an adapter to fit my Nikons. A Canon adapter is included. The Beauty in this scope is in the optics. Stars are unbelievably bright and sharp all the way to the edge of the field thanks to the huge glass up front and the dedicated flattener. The 2 3.4 focuser is very well constructed and includes a built in lock to hold the focus solid even with my heavy DSLR Nikons. The Beast in this scope is the weight. It's a large, heavy scope and a big step up from my WO Z61. Make certain your mount can handle not only the weight, but the bulk when it slews. I added an after market D-bar and handle to the top of the mounting rings just to assist in having a firm grip on the scope while mounting and un-mounting. I have this mounted on the Sky Watcher EQ6R Pro and it handles the weight of the scope and all my add ons easily. The attached Andromeda image was taken with 4 min unguided subs in class 5 Bortle skies on a Nikon D750. The EQ6R and Esprit APO 120 combo is amazing.

Secondly, I cant say enough about B&H. I have purchased 99% of all my camera and computer gear over the years from them. Recommended them to others. I have to admit, I've rarely spoken to a product adviser with the exception of my computer purchase, but their customer service is top notch in regards to pricing, returns and fast shipping.

Clear skies!
