Related Questions and Answers

Q: 1. Will these cause vignetting on the Sony 24-70 f/2.8 GM II when stacked? I probably wouldn't use more than 2 stacked at a time (the CPL + a single ND).

A: You can only attach one filter at the time on Sony 24-70 f/2.8 GM II lens. stacking 2 filters will vignette if you are shooting on a 24mm wide angle lens range with a full frame camera. I will recommend getting a step up ring 82-95mm to connect Kase 95mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II instead of the 82mm kit if you are planning on multi stacking the filters.

Q: 2. Will this work on Sony 24mm GM with lens hood?

A: You can use this filter with the hood but rotating it would be a task.

Q: 3. What are the dimensions of the leather case, not the package it comes in?

A: The dimensions of the pouch are roughly 4.7 x 4.3 x 1.4" / 120 x 110 x 35mm.

Q: 4. Hi, does Kase also make a 2 stop round magnetic ND filter? Thanks.

A: Kase doesn't make a circular 2 stop magnetic ND filter.

Q: 5. I have the Fuji GFX 100 S. Do these Wolverine case magnetic filters resolve 100 megapixels?

A: Yes, the Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II may be used with the 100 megapixel sensor in the FUJIFILM GFX 100S Medium Format Mirrorless Camera.

Q: 6. Does a single 82mm filter create vignetting for Sony 16-35 GM at 16mm?

A: At 16mm the Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II can produce a small amount of vignette. Some say they do not notice most of the time.

Q: 7. Will these filters vignette with ultra wide lens. In my case Fuji GF 20-35mm f4.0

A: The Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II would offer thinner rings, so the likelihood that they will vignette with your Fujifilm GF 20-35mm f/4 is minimal.

Q: 8. Can a lens hood be used with the Sony 24-70 GM II?

A: Yes. The following filter system allows a end-user to still us e there lens hoods.

Q: 9. Will these filters cause vignetting on a Nikkor Z 82 mm 14-30 f/4 lens?

A: Yes, Nikon NIKKOR Z 14-30mm f/4 S Lens has an 82mm filter thread. Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II comes with an 82mm Kase magnetic lens adapter ring. You just need to screw in the ring in front of your lens.

Q: 10. Can a normal lens cap be used when the Kase Magnetic Adapter Ring is attached, or will the lens only accept the magnetic cap?

A: Kase 82mm Wolverine Magnetic Professional Neutral Density Filter Kit II only accepts Magnetic lens cap that comes with the kit.

[82 mm] Really wanted this particular grade. And got at a very good price. Thank you B&H

[Glass] It’s very subtle even if it’s strenght 2. The skin is smoohter but innsharp focus. The lower lights get around 1/3rd of a stop brighter, while the brighter lights get some 1/3rd of a stop darker. Thus the contrast is subtly reduced, making the lighting look more filtered. The filter doesn’t like direct light pointed towards the camera, so use a matebox and position the camera accordingly. I like to combine with Black Satin 1 for lowering the highlights even more.

[Aluminum] First off, B and H came through quickly and accurately as always. I needed some versatility in ND filters and this kit provided me with the flexibility and quality I was looking for. First time out after receiving them I utilized two of the three to address specific issues and got the results I was looking for. If there was any drawback in their performance, it was on the photographers part. The quality is top tier with the HT line from Tiffen in terms of construction and glass. The actual kit itself was convenient to carry myself as I moved around without having to drag all my gear from spot to spot to have access to the filters as I figured out the right combinations. Looking forward to using them again soon and in the long term. Ideal for the advanced hobby/landscape photographer who is willing to spend a little bit more to get quality in their bag.

[82 mm] I use this softening filter in certain landscape situations, not necessarily for portraiture. And guess what, that can be lots of fun! I use it with my 105 Nikor micro lens occasionally and can get the most dreamy look, just gorgeous. No kidding. I also have the 77mm size, pro mist 3 for the 70-200 zoom. Really can't tell much difference between the #2 and #3 strength. Get the black version if you don't want some halos around the highlights. I like the halos personally. The more backlighting or highlights with light areas, the more halos

[Glass] This filter is going to be on every portrait shot I take from now on. The 1/8 strength is subtle enough to clean blemishes of a 4K or 8MP+ image while not making the image look soft. There are however some conditions where it's not ideal. I filmed a window on a sunny day from a dark room, and the halo effect spilling into the room was too strong and unnatural looking even though this filter's strength is only 1/8. If done under the right conditions, it could give a nice stylized look.

[Glass] I use it with Sigma 18-35 1.8 on BMPCC4K. Earlier I had 'heavier' Black Pro Mist 1, but this 1/4 baby does more delicate job.

[Aluminum] I love the 23A Red Filter from Tiffen. It has allowed me to be more creative with my B&W Photography with the ability to incorporate the effects of a typical Red Filter in a minimised way to have a subtle change in tonality but more pro ounces than an Orange Filter. I highly recommend the product.
