A: In all honesty, I haven't been able to get this device to do anything. When I plug in a usb drive, there is an import option, but it doesn't show any of the files/photos on the drive. If anyone else can get this to work, I'd like to know how they did it. BTW, I have tried plugging in the lightning power connector. Still no files shown.

[5.8 x 4 x 1.1"] About a year ago, my G-Technology external hard drive stopped working as my time machine backup for my MacBook Pro. I tried all kinds of stuff. Searched the Internet endlessly and boy, there are a lot of people with the same issue. I was debating whether to buy a new drive, but thought I'd try a new cable first. [0.115 lb] I have esata swappable drives and just bought a new Mabook Air (mid 2017) with Usb3 ports. I purchased these cable and plugged them in and they just worked. No hassles. I was very surprised! Highly recommend. They are a little pricey but seems to be a good investment. 5
